I reall don't understand the consternation and hand ringing over this. Am I little disapointed, yes. Does it sting to have the championship tainted, a little. But I don't give a squat what anybody else has to say about the tittle and I will enjoy the memories just as much in future years. I really can't believe that this sign stealing thing has as much legs as it does, you still have to hit the pitch. what this has really shown me is that the Astros have really made some enemies in the powers that be, meaning the media and MLB.
I promise that i feel a hell of a lot more cheated by the umpiring he got in last years ALCS then he is by the astros "cheating"
I would love for Orbit or some Astros fan that sits just out of sight to just bang a trash can randomly every home game. Not to cheat or anything, but to put the thought of it into every opposing pitcher’s head. Be hilarious to see the meltdowns when the Astros start rolling at the plate.
LMAO this is a precedent that Manfred simply CANNOT allow. At the end of the day, players, teams, and front office people are all on the same side of the coin. While each team operates as its own independent business, they are still a coalition and work in partnership and conjunction with one another. Allowing players to sue opposing teams for a perceived wrong opens up a legal nightmare for MLB that could rip at the very fabric of the sport. This case is bullshit at best anyways. If he was any type of good pitcher, he wouldn't have been on the chopping block after one game, so blaming the Astros for his flamed career is garbage.
Nah, Manfred will allow it to become a class action lawsuit encompassing disenfranchised current and former players as well as disillusioned fans and media.
Wilfredo Rodriguez will get one billion dollars. I deserve a whole metric ****ton of money for buying season tickets to the 2000 Astros.
A big problem is the southern gentleman culture has made the Astros an easy target for the hyenas who run the media and the coastal cities. Houston fans, execs and players are kind of just being the "bigger man" and bending over and taking it, allowing everyone to pile on, instead of deflecting, fighting like sewer rats, and having their fans point out what other teams also do online. The exact same news could come out about the Yankees or Red Sox tomorrow and no one would put in the effort to shaming them like this because they're dirty cities as is.
What is this the effing MeToo movement???!!!! Enough b****ing already, tell your teammates to hit better on the road douchebag.
