Bump.. so what’s the best movie sound tracks? Was just watching the Wedding Singer and the thought crossed my mind. Forest Gump, Dazed and Confused are some others with great sound tracks as well. Honorable mention for American Psycho too if your into Genesis/Phil Collins at all.
For those who love music scores/soundtracks of films? This is a must see/listen. Hans Zimmer conducting and playing selections of the scores he wrote for a host of great films, with some incredible young musicians as well as members of the Prague Symphony, and much more. You can stream the 2 hour plus concert in HD on Amazon Prime for $4.99, or buy the Blu-ray (which I did). If you have a good sound system backing up your display, it's pretty mind blowing. Below is a taste. You can mute the commerical and skip it in 5 seconds. Hans Zimmer - Live in Prague
Dark horse candidate: Until The End of the World (1991) 1991 was possibly the worst year in the history of the music industry - confused in the gap between the death of hair metal and the 80s power ballad and the arrival of grunge and "alternative". Here is the allmusic.com listing: https://www.allmusic.com/album/until-the-end-of-the-world-original-soundtrack-mw0000265386 Some U2: Some Talking Heads: Some Elvis Costello: Some REM: And a whole bunch of others maybe not so famous, but maybe better. I enjoyed the film by Wim Wenders at the time, but it really hasn't aged well. Seems very dated. But the soundtrack was great.
Some really great ones.... Risky Business Rain Man Gladiator The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly Once Upon a Time, In The West Twin Peaks Lost Highway Blade Runner

Far out! I'm sitting in front of my PC (got some new speakers for my desk recently and I'm breaking them in) listening to Cornfield Chase now on Spotify from the soundtrack of Interstellar, which sounded better on YouTube in HD, to compare it to Han Zimmer's collection of amazing talent on Live at Prague, @peleincubus, and it's only a little over 2 minutes during the film. The version at the concert is part of a medley of songs from the film, far longer and expanded not only in length, but in how it's done. They follow it immediately with an equally long medley from Inception which is even better. Very tasty guitar on this one, as well as several musicians playing drum kits of various sizes, two of them beautiful chicks, one on each end of the stage. Crazy. @ima_drummer2k would love it, especially if he could watch it, as well. There's an older guy in the middle with a full drum kit who's tremendous, Satnam Ramgotra. Haven't heard of him before this, but he's very, very talented. Johnny Marr, who played lead guitar with The Smiths back in the '80's, is one of at least 3 guitarists playing at the concert and on both medleys. Both are about 13 minutes long. I'm going to check after a while to see if Amazon's music service has it in Ultra HD. I'm using a 3 month free trial that's about to expire.
