I kept saying they’re going at Harden with his 5 fouls because he’s not playing defense. Instead of taking him out D’Antoni just stands there with his arms crossed. Rockets fell into a deficit then had to crawl back out. Too late.
Gordon is clearly a big key against Utah since he plays good defense on Mitchell and he's our top 3-point threat. Still not worried about the Jazz. Gobert once again had a negative plus/minus so let's not act like Capela being traded made the difference. Harden is so god damned frustrating. He continues to brick threes when the paint was open and he's getting easy midrange opportunities but won't take enough. That's not only on him but the coaches and front office who seem to discourage taking easier shots. Really stings when you lose by 1 point.
Agreed but you can’t cry over spilled milk. If we play the Jazz in the playoffs, we have to be prepared to win in Salt Lake. If we can’t then we don’t advance. It’s really that simple.
can someone remind me if bogdanovic hit a 3 to win it this season against us? why does this feel so familiar?
this has been an issue all season long, and especially this game. our defenders are inept at closing out on shooters. they just assume waiving a hand up is good enough to force a miss. capela was the worst at this so glad he's gone. but the other players except for maybe rivers all half ass it
The shot quality are the best shots in the history of the NBA. Those shots will eventually fall. One thing I will say if EG was there those shots will be money
Well I've said all year Im more worries about bogdonavic in the clutch than Mitchell. It was great defense he just made a tough shot. I don't feel discouraged about the small ball with the loss though. The game literally came down to them making one more play than us. That's sports. That's why you don't get too up or down there is such a thin line between winning and losing.
A sign of a mediocre team is whether facing bad teams or good teams, they are always within striking distance with these types of coin flip endings. A really good team comes out in the third, stomps on their opponent, gets 15 point separation, and builds on it until the other team realizes they have no chance, this used to be the golden state warriors' Modus operandi.
Everyone on this team misses so many shots. There isn't one player I trust to actually hit an open shot. Not a single one. That's a huge issue
Cuz It's happened to us before against the Kings & it was Belijca that hit the buzzer beater 3. Continuously getting daggered is a trend for this team.
It looks like Covington’s man set the screen and he didn’t switch. Likely a miscommunication due to his newness. That will get ironed out in practice.
Donovan pushed off on that play though. Now the refs have been on James for the same thing and that call went against us
Their losses have almost all been to worse teams or blown late leads. That's the issue. They have let wins slip away.
True dat. The Jazz are still fools gold. They don't have the upside they need to get to the conference finals. I believe this team does, but they could just as easily flame out in the first round.
