    i get that he can defend and he's good depth at the end of the bench, but he's shooting 30% from 3. I expect we can find a better rotational player in the buyout market.

    The vet minimum prorates downwards immediately at the start of the regular season. It is only about $622k and constantly getting smaller, although the league subsidizes a little extra on top of that, depending on level of experience.

    Is the MLE prorated or the full amount ?

    Prorated, but it prorates differently.

    The MLE is currently around $1.35M. It’ll be around $1.15M by March 1.

    Has OP grown to love Thabo?

    I never got the hate for him, he’s a vet min player, he’s close with Harden/WB/Clint, was always the one I saw Harden talking to on the bench about the game, for that reason alone I was cool with his signing. But he also has the history of being an great defender, of being able to hit the 3 at a respectable rate... and surprise surprise he’s has a tiny bit left in the tank and plays really well some nights.
