Wait what??? I bet you a bunch of Bernie Bros must have pretended to be women of color, that's the only way these results could be possible!

Everyone knows that only Bernie Bros are the only thing keeping Sanders' candidacy afloat

It really sucks because think of the headlines of Bernie Sanders winning the very white state of Iowa off the backs of Immigrates, minorities and first time voters. It would have absolutely destroyed the Bernie Bros narrative and the idea that Bernie couldn't expand his support..

Nobody in the other campaigns even sent someone to these caucuses because they didn't care about these voters.

    smh. welp..

It appears that a security patch ordered by the DNC for the "App" may have been the reason the software failed to function. A DNC spokeswoman confirmed to they had assigned a vendor to make sure that the software worked right. It may have actually been DNC appointed experts who were the source of the flawed "patch".

DNC-ordered security patch fouled Iowa caucus app, ex-Democratic official says

The reporting app that is getting a large share of the blame for the chaos surrounding Monday's Democratic caucus results was working until the national party required the installation of a security patch less than 48 hours before the first-in-the-nation contest, a recent member of the Iowa Democratic Central Committee said Thursday.

The update is believed by some Iowa Democratic Party staffers to be the reason for a mismatch between the app’s coding and the state party’s computerized verification system that caused omissions in the results, said John McCormally, a former state Democratic staffer who was a member of the party's central committee until last year.

    At 100% reporting

    Pete - 264 delegates
    Bernie - 262.5 delegates

Pete won the delegates by 1.5 delegates

Bernie won the final round popular vote by 2629 votes
Bernie won the first round popular vote by 6094 votes

Will be interesting to see if the recount changes anything. Bernie and Pete finishing on a 1.5 delegate difference is unbelievably close.

    Primary delegates awarded

11 for both Bernie & Pete
    5 for Warren
    2 for Biden
    1 for Amy

I'm not sure if any of these numbers are official due to the recount, but for what it's worth with the current results this is it.

So after all of this, at the end of the day, Pete was robbed of his surprised win bombshell.

    Onto NH.

They released this right before his town hall on CNN after holding the last 3 percent for 24 hours. unbelievable coincidence. There won't be a recount.

Pete is the "winner" even though he and Bernie both get 11 delegates and Bernie has 6000 more votes.

Iowa is done. glad it's over.

my understanding is there won’t be one unless there is a request. Bernie and Pete are both moving on.

Then why did Tom Perez even post the recanvasing on twitter? Does he not know the rules as leader of the DNC? I agree they should move on from this clusterf-ck, but we know what the deal is.

because he asked for one. Iowa chair has said they won’t do it unless a campaign ask for one. I don’t see any deal.

Also, this is not at all what the polls were predicting. Wrong again.

It's certainly a smart media strategy. By not asking for an actual recount and just cherry picking mistakes that hurt him, he can continue his victimhood campaign and get his supporters to follow suit. An actual recount would likely find mistakes in both directions, and no reason to risk having to admit to losing a second time.

It also lets him use his own funky Bernie-math such as what's listed in the tweet above: Des Moines - 80. Only 9 of the 10 delegates in this precinct have been awarded with 2 for Biden, 4 for Buttigieg and 4 for Sanders.
