While I think swapping Capela for Covington will help the Rockets, and like gambling on Caboclo, it is really disappointing and infuriating that the Rockets didn’t fit Markieff Morris or Nerlens Noel into one of their TPEs for second-round picks. Either one would have helped the Rockets and kept the team under the luxury tax threshold.
It’s a fair criticism at this point. There is no excuse for a contending team with two former MVPs to let every TPE they’ve acquired recently simply expire. Then add in trading away a first-round pick to dump Brandin Knight’s contract last year.
Well we're officially in ownership hell... This team is slowly but methodically being run into the ground right before our eyes. Only a matter of time before they get their asses handed in the playoffs & will sell off more assets in the off-season & we'll hear how Ti$$man is dedicated to bringing a championship to Houston & we're in a "win-now" mentality. It's what happens when a loud-mouth conman buys the team.
Morris could be bought out yet............... today is not the end of adding players to improve the team
So you wanted us to be tied down in years to come with shitty contracts and nowhere to go in future years. So you just blame the owner that we have no assets to get trades done ?
I’m aware. But why would Detroit have preferred buying a guy out that has another year on his small contract than getting a 2nd-round pick in return now? It isn’t like Markieff will fetch a first-round pick at next year’s trade deadline.
well we will never know. We are here talking in a forum and Morey is behind the scenes knowing what is going on
Lol yes because our future is looking soooo bright currently with all those 1st round picks we've acquired or the fact we have no starting caliber centers on the roster. Fear not, we still got luxury tax savings to fill in the holes.
I aren't dissapointed about the TPEs because I never believed for one milli second we would use them in the first place. You guys were very naive to believe it.
