I looked it up on NBA.com - the Pacers have six 5-man lineups with at least 1 hour of playing time together: Their best lineup actually doesn't feature Turner, only Sabonis. But it's only 66 minutes. Whereas the lineup with the largest sample size features both Sabonis and Turner for a really good +8.3 rating.
Imagine getting your hopes up for somebody like Ibaka, Gasol or Turner in the Tilman era lol We're gonna be slapped with a William Howard signing, or Jonah Bolden/Richaun Holmes/Khem Birch trade
Aron Baynes makes the most sense to me. $5,453,280 salary fits right under the current luxury tax threshold. Can shoot the 3PT at a decent clip to stretch the floor and keep defenses honest. 33 years old and expiring contract which makes more sense for Rockets than the rebuilding Suns. Not a splash move but shores up the center position nicely.
Well, the Rockets have some sort of space right now, around 5/6M, i'm fairly confident Morey will use that space to improve the roster, over that though? I don't know cause that would mean Tilman would've to pay the tax, and i don't think he's going to do that unless it's for a big name, which is something we can't get anyway. My guess is we'll end up with a guy like Baynes or Kieff, that would be ok to add depth but certainly not game changers, imo at least. Guys like Allen and Bryant would be game changers but those are not coming.
Send House to NY along with 2nd round pick. Marcus Morris to Houston. Markieff into TPE. Tucker/Markieff/Harty B Covington/Marcus Morris/Bell Marcus Morris/Bmac/Thabo Harden/Gordon Westbrook/Rivers
Spoiler Some of these aren't even centers but when they say "Center", they could mean he's currently playing guard for another team but would be the Rockets future center. He probably knows people from within the organization, not the GMs perhaps, but scouts, financial people, that sit in on these conversations. These people hear the teams and players, and for fear of being discovered only relay the position or conference, or tell Iko to only relay that info. I'd imagine that only a small percentage of deals that are discussed ever come in fruition, maybe 1 or 2 out 10. Some get really close, most never really get off the ground. Another reason for most of you to chill on this boards insider's btw! Now, why these people would actually risk their positions to give this information to the public, I don't know. I certainly wouldn't, but I'm appreciative none the less.
I think kieff could be a game changer , but I have no idea about his defense . He’s almost a 40% 3 point shooter tho and at the very least is a pretty big body .
And now for the category for the New Rockets Center...the envelope please....... And the new center for is"............... WELL ???
