why? You expected him to be Shaq? He’s had a great career this far. The man is a double double machine and solid defensively. Why is that a disappointment? It should be celebrated and applauded that he is not a bust like most big men in the league.
I remember when some fools thought Zhou Qi would replace you It turns out it was Robert Covington damn Thanks for the memories
Sucks, even more thinking he's gone because we didn't keep Anderson or Knight to make a trade like this...i wish him the best though, nice guy and good player, one of the few we actually drafted and developed in the last years.
Hey dude, if you arent gonna be respectful keep this crap outta of this thread, this for people who see how important he was to us.
battering the Jazz repeatedly will always earn you a spot on my Favorite Rockets list best of luck to ya Capela
Clint, is awesome man. I would even rather have him and Cp than what we have now, wish you luck dude. You are a hardworking, and chill guy. Like Pat Bev, Montrez(and even Lou lol) and Cp you will be missed man. You'll always be a Rocket to me.
yeah that’s key right there the only draft pick we kept around and developed after all the blockbuster trades which turned out to be a really good player. Great presence and team mate those intangibles are hard to replace. People don’t realize the impact when great positive players leave. It’s not just about points and numbers.
Thinking about this now... CP3, Capela, 4/5 first rounders...for Westbrook and Covington...welp. Better think about the future.
thing that bothers me is that he is the only player. Let me repeat..the only player morey drafted, developed and kept after all those block buster trades through the years that turned out to be a very good player. This is sad to me.
Morey doesn't really develop talent, he gets assets . who's the last guy we drafted and remained a Rocket? Yao?
We'll will see what happens with this current sqaud (Im not gonna make any assertions right now). But looking back lol....Im sure there are things Morey wishes he could have done differently. Or the correct way to say is he probably wishes he had the power to do things differently instead of being hamstrung by his dick headed boss.
What? drop real history on this board? Tell me who was the last guy we drafted that remained a Rocket starter? @Os Trigonum @Jontro
On an emotional level, this sucks -- CC seems like a really good guy, clearly loves Houston, and has grown right in front of our eyes from a fringe "upside potential" NBA player to a solid NBA starter. Favorite memory is probably that Game 4, 2018 playoffs game in Utah -- 15 boards, 6 blocks and Rudy with a +/- of something like -25. Anyone got that slow motion clip of Capela blocking Ingles at the buzzer followed by him and the Beard primal screaming at each other? I'll really miss the guy and will be rooting for him in Atlanta or wherever else. (That said, getting RoCo is a good, all-in, kind of move -- he should be a better fit with WB, and we can play more like how Mike D wants us to play. The proverbial ceiling is higher now...albeit, not through the roof).
Its not about wether you are right or wrong, stop being tone deaf to this thread, this is not what its about.
