As long as he and James are "cool", Thompson as a backup to Clint would be a pretty strong get. We need guys like this coming off of the bench. He's an accomplished rebounder, adequate defender, and he has championship experience. On a buyout I would take him all day.

They're not going to get a center better than Clint. So if that is your anticipation, prepare to be disappointed.

    This.

They’re trying to move Clint for a starting wing caliber wing player first and foremost.

actually he is a problem. the minute the rockets transitioned from cp3 to wb, he was going to be a fit problem and now with the rockets seemingly going towards more of a small ball lineup, that's just another issue added to the list. you have to be committed to playing big to get the full value of CC. if not, there really is no point

Understand. The idea would be to get better elsewhere. ie, you get a serviceable, but lesser, center, BUT also get a wing player you need.

His injury also certainly factors in. Any center they could play is a better center while Clint can't...which could be a while. Unfortunately, that same situation also then impacts his trade value.

    Likewise....Joakim Noah 5 years younger.

I think the Rockets are going to go small-ball from here on out (with Capela trade avoid luxury tax)
5-men out with everyone having the ability to shoot 3’s. TT is not a fit with that concept.

I suggested Knicks (having about 2nd lowest team salary payroll) Capela for basically MMorris/Knox

D’Antoni plays small-ball (thinking he can win a championship with mostly guards) and
ApacheWarrior playing small-ball (thinking you can win a championship with mostly SF’s)
Compromise of small-ball play with Guards/SF’s filling the roster across the board

    Westbrook/Rivers/Harden/Eric Gordon/Clemons/McLemore/House/Knox/MMorris/Tucker
Hartenstein our one true semi-Center.....the rest Small-Ball Centers.

Knox would probably shoot 35% from 3 while with Houston and excel in the open space friendly
offense.....allowing his athleticism to shine attacking the rim with authority.

Or maybe not. It’s a gamble year anyway which has TF cutting luxury tax and shipping out someone
like Capela. Being 9-1 in the 10 games without Capela made him expendable in their eyes.

    Sorry Capela

Knox would shine in Houston much like McLemore has turned his career around this season

Get him out of the dog house in New York

Knox is a building block in ny. They won't trade him unless they really get something good.

He's not getting much time nor playing very well for a building block. 15mpg in his last ten games and shooting terribly, as usual.

God I hope this doesn't happen. Last thing we need is another C who can't shoot
