You do know the DNC had nothing to do with this right?

If these Pete and Bernie estimates are to be believed then this whole snafu may be burying the lede on the two big takeaways. 1) Biden's downfall and 2) the depressed turnout.

The DNC should be terrified at the lack of participation. Super good news For Trump.

I don't think any of us know how much or how little the dnc is involved with the Iowa caucus. It is a little odd to think that the dnc would not be involved at all with the parties first and most important primary election.

Hell, just googling on my phone while taking a dump I was able to find clear examples of the DNC having involvement with the Iowa primary.

Oh and also this hilarious article about how a new smartphone app was going to revolutionize the caucus. Lmao.

    62% in

    Pete 26.9%
    Bernie 25.1%
    Warren 18.3%
    Biden 15.6%
    Amy 12.6%
    Yang 1.1%

Bernie leading the popular vote yet down in the delegate count, jeez I dislike the delegate system. Pop vote should always win.

Pretty important since people want to use it as an excuse to vote for Trump...but we know these people were always going to vote Trump regardless.

Why wouldn't you? Every candidate has access to the actual results from their own precinct captains. If anything is wrong, that candidate could easily point it out. Again, you can't defraud a caucus like you can a primary because the voting is very public. You can literally count the # of people in each corner of the room to know how many people voted for each candidate.

I wonder if they cherry picked the release of the 62% so Buttigieg is shown winning. Then later on oh sorry Bernie won...

Oh man. It's gonna be close.

Looks like Bernie ran up the score in some places?

    Yes.

Looks like the margin will only widen for Pete looking at the counties. Disappointing.

Fox is reporting that although Sanders had the most raw votes, Buttigieg gets the most delegates.

So if Pete wins he isn't just the most pratical, last night proves him to be the likely smartest and bravest by going on record

Historically, Iowa used to only report SDE (delegates). Sanders' campaign requested that they release three numbers (first alignment, final alignment, and delegates) to improve the transparency of the process. Both Buttigieg and Sanders can frame this as a victory (and a disaster for Biden)

This points more to a brokered convention than anything. Still early, but if Biden wins North Carolina and other red states it could be tough for anyone to get enough delegates.
