That would be an absolute home run. Please lawd let it happen.

    HOWEVER...

I don't see the Warriors going out of their way to help us out.

Looney did well vs Clint in past GS series

Also , I think looney was getting away with mugging people with no call . GS was getting a favorable whistle and that impacted how good he looked imo

Apparently big trade involving Wiggins for Russell and GS would get picks from MIN so they’d definitely be willing to part with Looney!

Meh - all this does is get us another PJ Tucker clone and an athletic big that still can't space the floor.....we already have Harty.

Does not move the needle at all.

Covington? PJ Tucker clone? Or Looney?

Either way, you're wrong, but who wouldn't want more PJs on their squad?

I’d take RoCo, Looney and Huerter.

AIUI, this is the deal that would have Wiggins going to GS, in exchange for receiving two unprotected 1st rounders. Which sounds insane. Is there a Zion in this draft, and is GS in a win-in-a-few-years mode? No. So why take on one of the worst deals in the NBA, just to get 2 1sts, avoid the repeater tax, and lose a trade chip like DLo and a glue guy like Looney?

    https://tradenba.com/trades/nYt8EKDhL

Seems like everyone check their boxes.

The Rockets get depth and length.
The Hawks get a center and a pick for their young shooter.
The Warriors get a few picks without taking on Wiggins
    The Wolves get their guy

Tilman gets to pay the tax!

The beauty of this trade is that if Harden/Westbrook/Covington/Collins as a core isn't good enough then we can trade Harden and/or Westbrook to ensure we have draft picks in three seasons when everyone is up for extensions.

The window is now. Picks can be re-couped by trading Westbrook (more likely) or Harden ( i hope he retires here even if he sucks by the end) if it's time to throw in the towel like we just saw with OKC.

This would be the greatest trade I’ve seen for us, but there’s just no way...

Myers would gladly give us Looney if he gets what he wants for Russell (which means multiple 1st rounders), with that pakcage the Warriors will have the assets to get another star as soon as that becomes available, Looney is literally nothing in the grand scheme of things.

And fwiw, i like what i saw from Looney in the past, but he has been often injured in the last two years, and coming here he wouldn't be playing off the bench in the best team/defense in the league, he would start in one of the worst defensive teams around so, we'll see what kind of impact he will have eventually, i would keep my expectations in check big time.

You onto something here but I think Atlanta would say no. Not sure that's enough for Collins.

His injury this year was mysterious. If GS give up on him, we need to be careful.
