Trump is a disrespectful un-American SOB. Just look at him. Think of all the servicemen who fought and died for this country only to see the supposed leader doing this. Shameful.
Last thing I want to do is defend Trump. But, it looks like they're in a suite watching on TV and not in the stadium with the flag and the anthem in them. I'm not a person who does the anthem anyway so maybe this is an ignorant question -- when you're at home watching football by yourself, do you stand and put your hand on your heart for the anthem? Do you keep a flag in the TV room so you know which way to face? To me, it seems like it is Barron and Melania misbehaving here because they are giving too much deference to the anthem. When you're in the stadium, you stand; when you're watching on TV, you're some kind of weirdo to stand.
Wait what? He is the president of the united states and even his foreign born wife is standing with her hand over heart. Everyone in the room is standing and so is he, so why is he clowning around. I don't stand while its on TV but I know a lot of people do. There is no way to defend this, if he did not stand I could see but he stood up and was still clowning around.
Stand and honor mother land! You, and you know who you are, make them proud on daily basis with communist ways and spreading of mighty propaganda.
Maybe because I hang around too many commie pinkos, but I have never ever seen a room stand for the anthem that is playing on TV. Other people in that video are standing, but it looks like only Barron and Melania are doing so for the anthem -- and Barron is probably only doing it because his mom bizarrely told him to. I get the criticism of hypocrisy. I didn't appreciate his behavior re Kap either. But I don't want a stupid cycle of liberal calling Trump a hypocrite for his lack of deference and then Trumpers calling liberals hypocrites for not standing after criticizing Trump for not standing, and so on. The whole anthem is stupid. Stop playing it before every athletic competition. That doesn't even make sense. And if you are going to do it, live with the fact that some are going to ignore it, or kneel, or conduct, or do whatever other thing their freedom guarantees they can do.
The guy is the sitting POTUS in a crowded room where everyone else has their hand on their heart. (Some wrong hands but yeah...) No I don’t think it’s normal to sit in your house as an everyday citizen and solute the flag while you’re sitting in your sweats eating wings, but when you are the sitting POTUS out in a public setting during the national anthem and you get caught acting a 5 year old while everyone else is saluting... yeah you deserve the criticism. It also highlights the hypocrisy. Nobody used the NFL kneeling sh$t more to their political benefit than Trump. He deserves again for the 1000th time this week to get criticized for being a horrible president and con artist patriot.
I didn't stand for the national anthem in my house. I had friends that did in theirs. I also have not made this a wedge issue and made numerous tweets about it to my millions of followers. Still this does not matter to me, and is not really worth wringing my hands over. Focus on the important stuff and not the trivial.
