LOL. You do know the DNC has nothing to do with this right? This is all run by the Iowa State Democratic Party.
Man this looks horrible. No use speculating, but it just looks really bad. Trust in the process is paramount in this election, and to start it off this way... The Democrats absolutely cannot afford to lose the trust or confidence of the independents, otherwise get ready for another 4 years of rule by tweet.
It is heightened scrutiny right now. Republicans have refused to take means to secure the election from tampering. But this screw up appears to be in the lap of Democrats. At least they seem to be aware and are trying to fix it. But it's a bad look to start things off in this process.
You mean the Iowa GOP that, when they had a close race in 2012, reported the wrong winner and didn't correct it for 2 weeks, completely destroying Rick Santorum's campaign?
If nothing else, Iowa will finally lose its first-in-the-nation status. As someone who wears a University of Iowa Hawkeye windbreaker at this time of the year (while living in my native Texas), I don't say this lightly. The system is archaic and stupid anyway. Just go in and vote. The horse-trading and non-viability and all that crap. And now this. Why don't we just skip the election? Trump doesn't even need foreign interference this time: "Get Trump re-elected? We got this," says the Iowa State Democratic Party. Well, if anyone deserved to have his campaign destroyed.... J/k.
Gonna put on my Trump hat with the smug feeling that the woke Bernie Bros are poo pooing their pants over Mayor Pete.
Yo make sure you @ me, I only drop in here from time to time because most of you guys are annoying. I didn't go full conspiracy theory at all. Don't put me in that bag. I simply listed exactly what happened in the last 48 hours.
"Tech firm started by Clinton campaign veterans is linked to Iowa caucus debacle" https://www.latimes.com/business/technology/story/2020-02-04/clinton-campaign-vets-behind-2020-iowa-caucus-app-snafu
Listening to NPR on the drive to work. They were reporting from Iowa and were obviously intending to be able to talk to caucus-goers about what they thought of the results, etc. But of course there were no results to discuss so they had to awkwardly talk about how there's nothing to talk about. Had to switch to Spotify. They've screwed this thing up so badly. The app designer's reputation is badly damaged, all the people who said it was dangerous to digitize the vote are crowing, Iowa looks like a bunch of idiots, and all that money many campaigns invested in Iowa so they can go brag about being viable candidates in other states (who actually have enough delegates to make a difference) now have just flushed their money down the toilet.
Is all this stuff about the app developers and their connection to the Buttigieg campaign true? If so, how does that blatant conflict of interest go unnoticed/unchecked? The optics basically write the narrative with very little effort. -App company founded a week before Buttigieg campaign launched -CEO of App company endorses Buttigieg -Wife of CEO employed by Buttigieg campaign -App company donates tens of thousands of dollars to Buttigieg campaign -Buttigieg trailing in Iowa; App collapses on caucus night; Buttigieg declares victory Like... why even invite this kind of headache?
We're not out of the woods yet. The App developer, 'Shadow' (oh my god you couldn't write a movie script like this), is also being used in Nevada.
I knew someone would do this lol. The GOP has run roughshod over precedent and decency since like 2000 and are enabling someone that tries to cheat to win elections and threatens his political opponents...but because some app that has nothing to do with the DNC malfunctions that's a reason to vote for Trump.
I didn’t want to start any more beef I’m not saying I agree with his characterization, but clearly he was just replying to you.
This is so wild when you list exactly what has been happening in the last couple days, people want to say you're a conspiracy theorist. This is what is being reported with receipts, lol. When you list it, yeah... It looks crazy.
