That's a strange angle to take.

I looked into him a bit and he is singularly focused on his dislike of the American and British government. Everything else in the universe exists to make the point that those two suck.

All of Assad's chemical weapons attacks on civilians are actually US false flag ops, etc.

Consistent with his career...Pilger loves him some Russia/China and is highly anti-West.

It's actually the correct angle for an IM injection.

This is what happens to people exposing what is happening in China. I hope for everyone that the death numbers are far lower, but **** like this gets me worried.

Yeah, I wouldn't say racist. A 2+ % death rate is scary, and it needs to be controlled because a mas outbreak would be devastating. I'm fine with the travel bans.

That being said, the USA has just a quarter of the population China has, and we had 34k deaths from the flu last season and a reported 80k in the 2018 season..

    https://www.usnews.com/news/health-...e-died-of-flu-complications-last-season-in-us

So at the same time, with the current death toll being 362, the disease is not as prevalent as many are making it out to be. This could change within a matter of months though.

Was more about the Common Flu and Influenza virus though which has a high fatality rate this year.

There is a vaccine for it though, not everyone is getting it.

    Science isn't racist.
The WHO has completely butchered other previous outbreaks very recently, like Ebola by being too slow in their response and affected by political reasons.

World reknown epidemiologists are advising complete travel ban to and from China and even more draconian measures taken everywhere.

Here are the points from a peer reviewed study published in the most prestigious medical journal in the UK, the Lancet, based on the most advanced mathematical model.

RO= 2.68, Every person on average infects other 2.68 people.

Epidemic doubling time of 6.4 days.

As of 25 January in Wuhan 75.815 individuals infected. (with 95% certainty 37.304- 130.330)

Today is 3 February so every number is about double that.

City seedings in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shenzen.

    Forecasting international seeding.
Epidemics are growing exponentially in multiple major cities in China with lag time behind Wuhan 1-2 weeks.

Peak epidemic in Wuhan forecasted on 20 April 2020 - other cities 2 weeks later.

If transmissibility IS reduced , this will occur later and number involved smaller.

Forecasting overseas cities potential self sustaining oubreak epicentres.

Substantial exportation of pre-symptomatic infected people in the incubation period.
Therefore , temperature screening of limited value.

    Conclusion :
WHO needs to review travel advices.
Substantial even draconian measures need to be implemented that limit population mobility.

Seasonal uncertainty. (Data from SARS showed that it hated the heat and spread in winter months. Uncertain if the new coronavirus will be the same)

You think the US doesn't know what it is doing and just being racist and fear mongering?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

The one who doesn't know what it is doing is the EU.
Italy is already in nation wide panic. What more needs to happen?

Here is the video of a public heath expert explaining in simple language every point of the study and also analysing the symptoms known of the severe cases.

The Wuhan coronavirus in contrast with the flu and SARS affects more the lower respiratory system . So there is no running nose but there is fever and pneumonia.
Average age of the severe cases known so far is 55 years old.
So the risk of death and severe symptoms isn't only for the 80+ y.os but also the middle aged people.

Right, the concern is it being a new strain and seeing how things go over a few months regarding the transfer and mortality rate. People seem to gloss over the flu numbers and while the amount that can die from it is high, it's the unknown the media rushes out for. The concern is the unknown of the virus regarding the r-nought/R0 and no vaccine/mortality rate like you mentioned. Since this is a new virus the mutation could make it more dangerous. Fortunately it's not like a 12 to 18 like measles, but if it hits a 3+ it is definitely a concern.

I'm hoping it dies out like SARS and it limits the number of people exposed but I also am concerned on China not releasing all of the needed information (like how many people are actually infected).

Right agree with you and nice points, on the R0 my concern is since it's so early and we aren't getting the exact numbers from China it can vary quite a bit (pretty much shown here). So definitely agree with you, like if it was a known illness and there was a vaccine/treatment/established season etc. the estimated R0 is not as concerning (assuming people get vaccines/treated and it gets eradicated), but with all the crazies in the US, we should be watching measles over here too.. It's like measles were gone and herd immunity was great and then Dr Jenny McCarthy  cites some quack who's paper was disproven and trash (but yet still gets cited to this day) over the autism link etc.

So While the US is doing an okay job on the borders thing regarding this, I wish my fellow Americans would vaccinate their damn kids for measles (assuming they're allowed to and don't have an actual medical reason they can't).

Sorry for the off topic portion
