one last question. that notorious right-wing Democratic gadfly Bernie Sanders is complaining the system is rigged:

A number of 2020 Democrats came out swinging against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Friday after it unveiled new debate qualifications that could open a path for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to secure a spot on stage.

The DNC said it would drop the donor threshold for the Feb. 19 primary debate in Nevada. The move could open the door for Bloomberg, a billionaire who is refusing any donations to his White House bid, to win a spot at the event.

Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-Vt.) presidential campaign ripped the DNC over its new debate qualifications, saying it is supporting “a rigged system.”

“To now change the rules in the middle of the game to accommodate Mike Bloomberg, who is trying to buy his way into the Democratic nomination, is wrong. That’s the definition of a rigged system,” said Jeff Weaver, a senior adviser to Sanders’s campaign.
Does he have a point or is he a sore loser still sulking over losing to Hillary and hoping to avoid a repeat of 2016? or is he just echoing Republican talking points?

    "I'm" being the operative term.

well, to be honest . . . I think Cocaine Mitch outmaneuvered his Democratic counterparts and, well, won. I think that's pretty clear.

"I'm" being the operative term. So, you think that's healthy.

you said "do you think the Democratic party is increasingly the party of sore losers." and the cited several historical events.

You don't see a fair contrast to Charlie Sheen's "I'm winning" excuse for transgressions, and no more tied to one event as you were trying to imply as a "sore loser" progression in history?

not familiar with the Charlie Sheen excuse. I don't think it's healthy that Democrats are whiny sore losers if that's what you're asking.

it wasn’t a sham. Pretty much every serious person acknowledges his guilt. But a senate majority just doesn’t want to remove him. Okay. Shrug.

I for one am very ready to vote and to work on a campaign before that.

Do you think the Republican Party (led by Trump) is increasingly becoming the party of "I'm Winning" -- The Charlie Sheen excuse for transgressions. And do you think that's healthy,,,for both ppl in general, and a party.

If you don't know what I'm talking about -- as contrast to "sore losers" -- that's ok. It was somewhat a rhetorical question, which now appears your question to @B-Bob was, as well...given you're now declaring a whole party as "whiny sore losers."

i don’t think it’s healthy that you keep calling tens of millions of people w legit criticisms of a wayward, damaging president “whiny sore losers.” They care a lot less about Hillary than you do, sir, but they love this country every bit as much.

No way, the optics in this case are far worse for Republicans concerning impeachment and then the DOJ revelations today.

Now, that can obviously change depending on what the Democrats to over he next 10 months.

For now the impeachment trial went as well as possible for the Democrats.

I don't know about the Republican Party becoming the party of "winning," honestly I don't think the Republican Party is in a very good place right now--and hasn't been for quite a while, dating back to the Tea Partiers and McCain's bumbling of the Palin nomination.

Also, I don't think I'm "declaring a whole party as 'whiny sore losers.'" On the other hand, if the shoe fits, wear it . . . and increasingly it looks like that shoe fits an awful lot of whiny sore losers.

I think the Democrats have gone absolutely bat-**** crazy since Trump was elected. I would have preferred to see Democrats and the Democratic leadership swallow their pride, admit their OWN mistakes in their own defeat, and simply get on with the business of governance, rather than turn politics into a full-time we're-out-to-get-Trump sideshow. That hasn't done anyone any good.

As far as Trump goes. Don't care for the man, don't care for his antics or tweets. But he IS president, he was elected president fair and square, and it is the duty of the opposition to be the "loyal opposition" and try to make the whole thing work even under less-than-perfect conditions. Here is where I fault Democrats directly: here is where I believe Democrats have been far too busy being full-time whiny sore losers than the leaders they ought to be.

but that's just my opinion. take it for what it's worth.

fortunately I think the impact of me calling tens of millions of people "whiny sore losers" is pretty damn small.

It's actually not worth anything because Republicans spent 8 years being "whiny losers" conjuring conspiracy after conspiracy, setting a record on filibusters, even stealing a Supreme Court seat. It's like you have amnesia.

Yes, probably. Just doesn’t further dialogue and doesn’t help you actually respect or understand them. But on that score, I’ll look in the mirror as well.

    I accept that

if you're trying to read my mind in terms of gauging my level of "respect" or "understanding" . . . I can't accept that.

I’m not trying to read anyone’s mind, at all.
I’m trying to state something hopefully helpful: cartoonishly painting millions of people is not a good path to understanding their beef. It’s really not, IMO, listening.

this applies to all of us. I want to say (and have said more or less), all trumpers are now essentially part of a cult, and evidence fits that declaration, but that’s no path to really understanding them and definitely no path to mutual respect.
