i'm not trying to glorify kobe... but in a game like this where it meant so much... he would've absolutely balled out to win the game.
my…no murray, no millsap…no problem?! They ran away from bucks (pct.854) who got home court advantage, becoming the 7th team defeating mil this season. this nuggets is intimidating, wish we would matchup them in post-season.
blazers are rounding into form that’s not a good match up for us I fear if they can get rolling into the playoffs I’d prefer to avoid them, they may be one of the tougher teams to play in April/May especially when Nurkic comes back.
It's a team that's a bad matchup for anybody with Lillard and Whiteside playing the way they are. Forget Nurkic, Whitside is a problem. The best shot-blocker in the league, 2nd best rebounder behind Drummond, not only insane length, but insane strength at 270 lbs, hitting 74% of his FT's, has a really solid touch around the basket, has a reliable baby mid-range J. He has always destroyed Clint when healthy, and tonight we saw him bully the Lakers who have Howard, McGee, Davis in their frontcourt. Plus they just nabbed Ariza, and his D is looking better then it has in years. The only hope is Lillard isn't hot whenever you catch them.
nurkic has always been a problem for the rockets but we'll see if he can even round back into form this season. whiteside just isn't a good player... there were so many plays tonight where dame was just shaking his head at hassan for not even trying on def. there were so many times where he barely even crossed halfcourt when AD or dwight were already right under the basket. or even when the defense was set, hassan just stood there doing nothing, not even knowing where his man is, not boxing out, and letting AD get a free run into the lane. he's a good shot blocker when he wants to be, but his focus, effort, and iq level are so incredibly low. we get pissed at capela.. but whiteside's effort is near zero. he might be the laziest player i've seen all season. unfortunately for us, ariza was the perfect pickup for portland and he balled his ass off guarding lebron and on switches where he had to get AD. man i miss that guy.
Lol @ LeBron. Couldn't even carry the torch for this game. Kobe would have won it if it the role was reversed.
yes you can there are so many numbers around 1 they could have lost with a dagger 3 with 8 seconds to go 2 or 24 sec to go 3 or it could of been a loss of 24pts 4 or it could of been the 8th personal foul that decides the game 5 or the player wearing jersey no 8 hitting the dagger 6 or the player wearing jersey no 24 7 or scoring the most points 8 or scoring 24 pts 9 or 8 pts et cetera et cetera there are countless numerical opportunities to pick and choose from and of course a congruent number or combo will be pop up somewhere
I've yet to see Ariza hit an open look for them much less a three..... The real reason why he got canned in the first place.
Looking at the box scores, Ariza is 8-18 from 3, since being traded to Portland. With the opposing defenses honing in on Lillard and McCollum, Ariza is doing a really good job.
