I think it's quite clear they don't believe in our system of gov't. Many senators admit the house managers have proved their case, but that trying to rig an election using a foreign gov't is not an impeachable offense. The GOP is an authoritative party that is lost back by supporters who are largely white ethnocentric. These are uncharted waters for this country. You've never had an executive exercise so much power in this nation's history. The question is how far will he go in his remaining time whether it be a year or 5 more years or beyond. I suppose now we will find out how much of a threat to this country he is, as the chains have truly been taken off and he now has free reign to do what he pleases.

Because the crime he has committed is about trying to rig an election. A man who cries falsely about how elections are rigged - is it no surprise that he would try to undermine our own election? If this is ok with you - then it shows that winning is more important than the integrity of our system to you.

Tell us something we don’t know. Citizens united corrupted our political system with money, and it drove the electorate to think it was so bad they wanted to blow it up. Only to have someone blow it up but at the same time have a party that doubles down on the corruption in broad daylight. He took an opportunity to seize power through a pissed off electorate. Im with the others though that I’m more concerned with what now... what and who is doing anything about it?? Yes people will vote but we are now dealing with a party who don’t really care about elections and will steal the election even more blatant than they did with Bush/Gore. Voting isn’t really the only solution when the party in power openly rigs the election. So I dunno... what’s being done about it? What do you want to do about it? Thoughts and prayers?
