I'm glad someone mentioned this. MDA was on record saying, while he believed the new system, at times even he wasn't sure how far to push the system, since at the time, it was radically different than the rest of league. In hindsight, he said he regretted not to have pushed pace, spacing and threes more.

...But on the small ball (personnel to pull it off). They traded Quintin Richardson (6'6") for a Kurt Thomas (6'9"). Then later Shaq. (not a knock on shaq, he was already older and maybe didn't fit the system). Do you think Kerr's misfire on Shaq are things that still affect MDA today? Leaving a PTSD sorts. Making MDA rather not do rations of taller guys with the Rockets?

Agree. If blazers and rockets switched places on when they picked up Melo. As in after OKC, Melo went to Portland first, gets cut, hiatus for a year and then Rockets picked him up, Melo may be as motivated.

Without a top tier defensive coach, he is one of the worst coaches in the nba.

This comes across as Morey's minions scapegoating MDA when the Rockets fail. The first problem is Morey's empowered Harden to the point he's uncoachable. Harden does what he wants when he wants, and pouts when someone calls him out. Second, the no midrange all 3's is Moreyball not MDA offense. So I'm sure if MDA had it his way we'd be running plays with more ball movement. I'd rather see MDA stay over Harden & Morey at this point

Just take 10-15 midrange shots again and you open up the floor

    Its time

    Plenty of chances

He doesnt coach defense, no authority, doesnt know when to call timeouts.

Fire him before the break, I'll argue a new coach cant be worse than ending the season with DAntoni

And then at the end of the season find a new manager..it has to happen now

Another defeat! One more! Against the Lakers without Davis and in our house.
What will be the excuse tonight?

I'm guessing this is Mike D'Antoni's passive aggressive way of sending a big **** You to the Rockets for not giving him a contract.

Let Morey rebuild so he can draft another Royce White and then hire another puppet coach to run his silly offense.

    He sucks.

I havent seen much of coaching this season.

Give the ball to Harden and let him get us wins. If he cant then well...whatever...off to the bank I go to cash my check anyways.

lol I can do that for free.
