I never liked that duo or saw the hype in it. Maybe a great coach can put it all together. It could be just the Knicks trying to save face but I said at the time they are better for it. KDs injury is very serious, players rarely return to form from it...and Kyrie is overrated locker room cancer... Sure the NYK FO sucks and will probably screw up their rebuild any way but Kyrie-KD seems doomed to fail.
Yeah no question, for me, i'm ambsolutely sure they tried to get them, but at the same time they might be lucky it ended the way it did.
Kyrie is such a loser and is so overrated. He never had the Cavs anywhere close to .500 before LeBron and the Celtics were better without him too. The Nets were better without him this season. His game, for whatever reason, just doesn’t equal winning. Does he even have an extensive history of being clutch outside of Game 7 vs GS ?? I’m starting to think that shot was more luck. Besides all of that, his injury history makes Yao look like Harden.
Kyrie needs a reality check and that he would have won jack without LeBron. Did he hit that game winner in the Finals? Sure did. But would he have gotten that chance without LeBron returning to Cleveland? Hell no.
Kyrie is the Kanye of the NBA. A savant on the basketball court like Kanye is in the studio and on stage. But walking the line between smart and dumb everywhere else. He is a overrated, but only because his height will not allow him to impact the game as much as you would expect given his unreal talent level. He so wants to be Kobe and would be better than him if he were only 3 to 4 inches taller. Possibly the biggest mistake he has made was embracing Kobe's black mamba mindset.
