Had to read the article to figure out what the "D word" was.

I have some kids who are at that legalistic age where they go out of their way to not cuss, and to call out everyone who does cuss. I'd rather my kids could say words like damn and hell without flinching than for Burger King to reinforce taboos on useful words.

Call me crazy, but I don't really have a problem with the complaints in this case. Most ads are deceptive as hell--this one being no exception, with it's "real people" and their "real" reactions--and we all know the word was included because it would strike a chord with young people.

Words lose their meaning when they're used arbitrarily. Cussing for the sake of cussing is lazy, IMO. And impolite.

I think it's questionable whether Damn still counts as a cuss word.

But, as you explained, it's not cussing for the sake of cussing. It's cussing to sound more "real" to get people to buy their products.

    Snowflakes.

Don't they have more pressing things to do with their time like hating homosexuals or black people?

    Have you seen the commercial?

The word was not used arbitrarily it was used as it is used in everyday language.

    Stop pearl clutching.

God loves sinners unless they're not Republicans then God is a little more wishy washy.
