Would rather be getting Bertans. I also would like to see a first round pick this decade. It should only be used for someone that we fill makes us a contender. I just don't think Covington does that. Bertans on the other hand could be huge for us. Like road Ryno every game. He's gonna get paid Ryan Anderson money in the off season.

I’m not saying MDA is lying, but he may be wrong. I’m worried about P.J. He is a hero!
Get well soon Tuck. We all love you.
You are the heart and the soul of the team.

You would still lose FRP to acquire Bertrans. And Like Ryno, Bertrans will not be playable vs. certain teams. Covington is much better defender and still provides spacing due to his 3 ball. Covington is also locked up to a better contract. Bertrans is going to require big dollars to re-sign.

Did not notice at first but PJ hit Dieng on left side but appears to favoring right shoulder.

    Weird.

I noticed that too but it does look like he takes an awkward fall on that shoulder. The way his arm is bent under.

I thought so too but it did not appear to be hyperextended when he fell.

Initial diagnosis was a stinger, hope that is all it is.

    Fluke.

For Bertans I'd have to consider the FRP because I would almost rather see the Rockets give up both at the same time for a real asset that can move the needle. Right now Harty is looking way better than a pick in the 20's as far as value goes, so i would offer that.

I know that Covington has elite defense according to advanced metrics, but I am underwhelmed by his ability to create offense. I feel like he's similar to Tucker or Ariza in that he will play solid D, but can disappear offensively. That's OK if it's one player, but if PJ and Covington combine for 15 points, it puts a lot of pressure on the rest of the squad to score the other 105 points.

It's going to be hard to upgrade with our salary. It's hard to expect anything.

We'll be fine. (I'll play him 40 minutes anytime.)

I disagree here. Even if stuck/Covington were to only score 15... (I don't see that happening often) the impact on the defensive end would be noticed. Wouldn't make much difference if were weren't trying to score 140 every night to win 140-136.

We are so stupid. In a couple of years we will probably make a similar type trade to get Gary Clark back.
