"Washed up" Chris Paul is the best clutch player in the NBA and will be in All-Star Game this year

Daryl Morey said that Harden pushed for the Westbrook trade........ with the idea of adding Westbrook to the core of Paul and Harden. The Rockets did the same with Jimmy Butler. The idea was to add to the two stars.

James Harden did not want Paul traded. Harden was told that a Westbrook trade could not happen without Paul being included. Harden was upset but said he still approved of a Westbrook trade. Days before the Westbrook trade was made, Harden was told that it was unlikely that a Westbrook trade would happen and he was fine with it.

James Harden just wants to win at this point.

 

I agree with all of this.

But, @jordnnnn has said that Westbrook is making the team worse and that this isn't about CP3. So I read this naturally as "So, we'd be better off without Westbrook?"

So either he agrees with what you've said above or actually he thinks that team is better with Westbrook off of it.

Because I've said all along that its possible to have a bad rating and still be a plus for your team. I've been saying this all along that the team results matter and if the team continues trending upwards with Russ playing a lot of minutes then that's all that matters. Not this stat or that stat but the team performing better.

 

#1 Daryl Morey has stated that the plan going into the off season was to add to Paul and Harden.

#2 The Rockets were going to move Capela and Gordon to add Butler to their line up.

#3 Daryl Morey has said that James Harden wanted to add Westbrook to Harden and Paul.

#4 There is no reason that the Rockets could not play: Paul/Westbrook and Harden...... especially when they wanted to play Paul/Butler/Harden

#5 Yes Harden still supported the trade for Westbrook after he was told Paul would have to be included, however that doesn't mean that Harden wanted Paul gone.

#6 Austin Rivers has stated that there were no issues between the Paul and Harden. This was confirmed by JF who stated that they played cards together on the flights.

#7 Just because you do not hangout with someone outside of work does not mean you want them removed from your workplace.

His PER was 4 points higher in '18 but only 58 GP vs 35 already this season.

Sadly, OKC's record might be a worse reflection on Westbrook than it is good for Paul.

 

There's a good chance that OKC will face off against in Rockets in R1 of playoffs.. hopefully we won't embarrass ourselves and lose to them otherwise heads will definitely roll. Tilman in a panic, anger move might just blow up the entire team and tank for 5 years.

James Harden did not set out to get Chris Paul traded.

James Harden wanted to combine a star player WITH Paul.

If James Harden had such an issue with Chris Paul, he would not have wanted to add another star to go with Paul.

I really do not see why you are making such a big deal out of all of this.
