I prefer for Isis to mobilize and take over a territory. Then publicize their new caliphate to draw all the crazies from around the world to their new home. Once they get big enough take them out. Rinse and repeat. There is no end to this war. Their craziness and our actions over the last 20 years made sure of that.

    "This attack makes Americans safer"

    One day later

"We must evacuate all American civilians in the region as more active threats of attacks have increased dramatically. Increase threat levels across all US embassies"

Joe Lieberman who is basically a GOP mouthpiece by now leaves out the context also about how Iran became significantly more brazen in their attacks on American assets in the region after breaking the Iran Nuclear deal.

New to this thread, but can/will Trump get another article of impeachment added for these latest shenanigans? Threatening, publicly, war crimes, as well as circumventing the Constitution via Twitter?

To me, these are more impeachable offenses than the Ukraine thing, but they largely add up to be a (bigger chapter) in what is the same story.

Educate yourself. This whole impeachment escapade was pure political theater. It was never going anywhere in the senate and now Nancy won’t even send it there. What a joke.

impeachment is only good for convincing the many ignorant democrats that they won something. There are many of them who expected Trump to be removed from office after he was impeached by the house! Idiots! Pure political theater.

Where is this nonsense coming from that a war will break out with Iran. It won’t. Neither side wants it. Soleimani was a despicable human who has killed and maimed many Americans, and then went a step too far by attacking the US embassy. Trump was smart to kill him. This will in fact save lives, as now Iran knows they can’t keep poking us without an overwhelming response. Iran is in a total position of weakness. Trump gets that. Obama was f’ing clueless.

Most Americans are cool or ambivalent with this because the idea
that there will be attacks here . . is ridiculous to them.
They are so comfortable. They don't think that there will not be any "real America" blood shed here.
. . . ..So they cool with playing war like it is a video game

Let a few bombs go off in the Tuckies and Maga country . . . . . . maybe that changes
Alot of them not too concerned about NYC for 9/11 and
not truly upset about the lives loss . .. but more upset about the affront to America Divine Sovereignty and rule.

Most americans are sheep and believe that somehow killing this guy is going to save lives? How? He's a general not a terrorist leader. He will be replaced by someone else who will do the same exact thing. It doesn't make Iran think twice, it galvanizes them to take more action.

Trump didn't do this to make us safer, he did it because it would distract from the fact he tried to shakedown a foreign country to help him win an election by making a false statement. Trump is wagging the dog.

To wit, it seems the Iraqis are more concerned with unapproved American military adventures on their soil than unapproved Iranian military adventures

Ottoman, go back to grade school geography and Try to not be so chauvinistic, if possible. Iran and Iraq share a common religion for the most part and are next to each other. They have existed next to each other for hundreds and hundreds of years. Think Canada and the US. We tend to be less concerned with Canadian influence in the US and they tend to be less concerned about US influence in Canada than either of us would be with Russian influence.

Horrifyingly moronic, but I do value to a certain extent my online experience with the type of folks who make posts like this. Similarly with some of the essentially Nazi and white supremacists posts we sometime see.

LOL you forget it was the Iranian backed Militia that helped saved Iraq from Isis at the beginning. Isis was less then 20 miles from Baghdad when the Iranian backed militia fought them off an drove them back to southern Iraq. It always cracks me up how clueless most Americans are.

    Obviously I realize this.

My point is that Trump's tweets over the last 48 hours are more likely to get him removed from office than anything else he's done on his term so far. Then, coupled with what he's already done (borderline things that show an abuse of power), he may have swayed a vote or two.

I don't think the Senate has the balls to convict him. And I think they should just get it over with. But my point still stands.

When you’re a terrorist apologist he’s a general. These clowns will be the downfall of America, you have to at this point think that’s the goal.

Correction yes. Obama had an agreement not an actual treaty.

It's not just Trump you read even a lot of what is on here and it's clear that most of his supporters do to.

As does @Os Trigonum , it appears.

The Criminal in Chief does crimes. The CiC has history of bad judgement and acting on it.

And you want to wait and see if that trend continues.
