Missed opportunity to call it A Quieter Place. And then finish the trilogy off with The Quietest Place.
Really enjoyed the first one. Good to see Krasinski is back to write/direct this one, so that makes me think it isn't just a cash grab to take advantage of the popularity of part one. First one ended with a tone that made one think they were going to now go on the hunt for the creatures. I wonder if this movie follows through on that or if the creatures somehow adapt and aren't quite so easily killed as the end of part 1 would suggest.
Never saw the first one, but parts of this were filmed fifteen minutes from my house. We drove by but got turned away by the cops. Was a real neat set up. It'll be a water scene part. I'm guessing towards the end. I hope no spoilers. I'll watch both. I'm kind of excited for it.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the 1st, it was a good movie just not as great as some made it out to be. The greatest point was the premise but I don't think it was executed particularly well. My biggest pet peeve was the nail how the hell was that seen before or even there it made no sense unless I missed something. This one is not starting out well, why are they leaving the only thing that has had any effect on the creatures. I am glad the are doing a little flashback to how it started.
Where is this, if you don't mind me asking? It looks like a small town in the continental US's northeasternmost state. Am I close?
Nah. The town scenes were filmed in upstate New York, I believe between Buffalo and Rochester. The scene I'm taking about was filmed on Lake Erie. It's not in the trailer. Not sure how much of the movie it will make, but they were here for like a week and a half. The way they set it up, it looked really neat.
