If you don't want to be raped, don't wear that dress....

If you don't want to be drugged, don't go to the bar.....

Huh? The whole point of providing an award/punishment is to get motivate parties to contract in good faith.

The terms of the contract were violated and as a result they received damages.

I was a federal prosecutor. I am now in private practice and still try at least 3-4 cases a year. This is a no brainer legal case. You can not like the theories and protections provided by the law but legally speaking you are wrong.

Im not sure what you are advocating. One should blindly trust strangers, especially one with monetary incentive?

    Which leads me to ....

Did I explicitly not state I had no issue with the ruling? Many of these producers are far more guilty than Epstein. (Let me spell it out to you ... they should be in prison)

There are whores who refused to accept less than they did.

What I am advocating is to stop blaming the victims.

The fact you bring up whores only accentuates my point. If they are engaging in a legal activity, it does not matter if it p*rnography or any other legal activity.

You are making a broad assumption i have a problem with pay-for-sex agreements ... aka whoring. IMO, whoring should be legal and accepted as a fair trade practice. That is here nor there in this conversation.

Note also, as you have ignored, I stated the producers ... or stated perpetrators, should probably be in prison. That is a much high bar than what you have accepted.

If the root of the issue is you having a problem with me calling a 'pay-for-sex' person a w****, then I will edit my posts to reflect prostitute to suit you, Nook.

I use to follow this girl on snapchat that did some BangBros videos and for some reason she thought the people in her home town was blocked from seeing her videos. They really don't understand how internet p*rn works. The second it goes out on xyz website, it is copied and distributed online.

There is no argument. The guys against the ruling just believe hoes are hoes and deserve what they get.

Jeesh, they maybe naive but the producers violated the contract. Its p*rn, its still a contract

The company is stupid for guaranteeing the videos would never hit the internet. The women maybe stupid also, but the company made the promise.

    Nothing to see here

Aren’t we all entitled to our own set of alternative laws?

The OP seems more upset that the victims were women exercising their right to use their bodies as they wish, then the rest of the "story" and its legal ramifications. As has been pointed out, it isn't the business activity the women were involved in that's the crux of the matter. It's the fraud the defendants knowingly committed.

I have no problem with p*rn being legal. (A lot of prudes here obv not comfortable with sex), but I will say that p*rn lately has become really rapey. The whole choking thing is just bizarre. How is it a turn on to role play murdering your partner or getting murdered while you bang? That and why does every storyline have to be about incest? What ever happened to a good ole fashion office F?

Anyways... carry on with whatever p*rn law got you guys all worked up.

A SIN tax? That term is only used in the context of religion. Dont we have something in the constitution that does not allow that? I think we should raise the bar. Instead of a tax, lets behead the sinners in public? Wacha think?

Breach of contract. All there is to it. Fraudulent misrepresentation and the girls are receiving fair, if not low, damage amounts.

    The rise of conditional consent
In a contractual situation it is expected
I will be interested to see how this grows

    The WorkAround will be
I will SELL it internationally . . . .to MY SHELL COMPANY
that has no obligation to the original contract
then Sell it back into the U.S. and or internet

    Shady business
I think the issues that was defined was
The agreement seems more verbal than contractual
(They lied to them and they signed something different)
They had to pay the LAYDEEEs . . . because they lied and manipulated the LAYDEEES

I think the major thing here is . . . this is no different than these kids
going to jail for distributing nudes. . .. .
The Rise of Conditional consent is indeed a concern
A girl sends nudes. . .. with the condition that it is not distributed
well her boyfriend did now he will be a registered sex offender for life
esp if they both under age

This case seems like a nasty shitty p*rn company
that did some shitty nasty ****
    They got caught
    but
I don't really seen anyone as innocent here . . . . . .there are rarely innocents in business
this was just business. . . . bad business
