I had an older friend years ago whose skin split open when someone shook his hand too vigorously.

Losing your cool and slapping people isn't a good look either...

I understand his reaction... but for a woman to be doing that I imagine she or someone she loves might be going through something terrible, which also makes it sad to watch. She might just be crazy, or her mom might be dying of cancer or something which is making her frantically try to ask the pope / god for help.
