everybody here is lying. Anybody that was young enough in the early 2000s to be watching this knows that **** flew off the wall and was the center of epic conversations decades from now---this was it:
i almost picked that one too. i could not have asked for a better wrap-up/finale. they didnt pull any sopranos/seinfeld/game of thrones bs - they gave the fans the ending that they, the characters and the show deserved. i went with seinfeld-hamptons b/c its my favorite episode of seinfeld, which i think is the greatest sitcom of all time. and also it introduced the word "shrinkage" into the american lexicon. think of the cultural impact of this episode! my 95 year old grandma knows what shrinkage is. millennials who have never seen the show know what shrinkage is. and not just this episode, but what about 'master of my domain', 'soup nazi', 'yada yada yada', 'festivus', 'serinity now', 'not that theres anything wrong with that', ect, ect, ect. name another show that has created so many words and phrases that we still use today.
First thing that comes to mind: January 12, 1986, Miami Vice: Little Miss Dangerous. This episode blew my 12-year-old pubescent mind. Not only did it introduce me to kinky bdsm, it had pyromania, sex, suicide, and amazing New Wave music. It was a paradigm shift for me.
You should start a thread titled, “Greatest Pair of TV Boobs Ever”...and then pick an episode of True Detective.
I'll say Season Finale of MASH. Most watched finale of all time. Best part is the finale plays like a movie, so you can enjoy it even if you haven't watched many (or any) episodes. Whole ep is on youtube.
Hard for me not to agree with you here. I was trying to think of single episodes that I would put up there. Henry Blake dying would probably be the one I'd pick. I'm a huge MASH nerd. Watch it whenever it's on and on Hulu when I'm bored.
Uhhhh Alexandra Dodario in true detective. That is an image still engrained in my brain @heypartner nice reminder
They’re both good man, but Alex is a ******* goddess. I woulda hit puberty a couple years earlier if I saw that **** when I was a kid
Interest fact about that. None of the actors knew they were killing him off, so their reactions were real.
Not sure how you could pick a single best episode of: The Wire The Simpsons Always Sunny South Park The Sopranos Seinfeld MASH Justified Cheers etc.... ...much less pick the best episode of them all.
