I have a lot of faith in Morey's ability to snag 6'8 pfs,we have gotten a lot over the years who were able to contribute. This guy will likely be a contributor just like Bmac and House, 2 guys who people never heard off before but became productive members of the team. The only question is whether MDA will play him or not lol cuz MDA has like a 6 player rotation nowadays.
So does this mean he'll be playing for the Vipers instead of SLC? Can't imagine him getting any PT with MDA's rotations.
I understand MDA (last year—> his SYSTEM / his career / his stats / his choice of players / his team) It's the same issues he has made by not doing his complete job here as head coach. His problem his his doing. It’s the SYSTEM A mid season G league player is not going to change this coach’s coaching and turn him into anything he is not already. The SYSTEM is not going to change. It is starting to bend for Westbrook (league MVP 3 years ago) but only ever so slightly. This kid doesn’t stand a chance no matter how hard he is trying to make a difference. His skill set seems to fit but his origin does not so he will not get a chance. Hopefully I am wrong.
Assuming he would get some playing time, who would has more upside? Anthony Bennett or William Howard? Just sign Kenneth Faried
Best case scenario for him is Chris Clemons at the 3 spot. He will be in foul trouble if he can’t defend.
No I do not know. Most of what I know about him is from his high school career and G-League. I know he has been playing for the French SR-LG so a lack of involvement on his part isn’t likely the reason.
We are need and the vipers get the help, doesn’t really matter with MDA stirring the ship. I just amazed year after year with our organization.
All I can think of when I see William Howard's name is the movie White Men Can't Jump and them calling Woody Harrelson's character Billy Hoyle, "Billy Ho".
LOL At everyone that thought he would go straight to the Rockets being butt hurt. He is a developing role player. With his defensive limitations, he has to be able to run and score in transition and shot a high number of 3’s. If he shows he can do that, and his defensive instincts are as advertised; then he will get a shot.
First game - 38 mins played, 5-9 overall 3-5 3pters, 7 assists, 7 rebounds - 13pts..... Team lost but he was ok....didn't get a lot of shots up..... DD
Rather have Ray Spalding who put up 17 and 11 plus 3 blocks & 1 steal. And you are going to love this, Spalding is 6'10 with 7'5 wingspan. More athletic than you like, but he can also shoot the 3 (better % than Harty).
