you can't be too mad losing when you have your 3 best players out. If anything, it just shows we have some depth there if we need it and it might be able to help the rotations more if D'Antoni is willing to use them

How did we get out scored 41-19 in the 4th?

 

That’s always a concern with backups. They aren’t typically used to heavy minutes. Especially MDA’s back ups. Some of them rarely play at all.

 

I think they just ran out of gas. pelicans fast break on every possession leading our already bad defense to lose open 3 point shooters

 

People are seriously angry about this loss?

No team since The Sixers 50+ years ago is dependent on a single player as the Rockets are on James Harden and he didn’t play. Westbrook didn’t play either, nor did Capela.... that is 76 points of offense not playing.

That doesn’t take into account that Harden is an underrated defender and Capela is superior defensively to Hartenstein.

This was close to a guaranteed loss after Harden couldn’t go.

 

Ok, we lost an incredible game against the Spurs, we lost on the final against the Kings, we lost shamefully with the Warriors and now we lose with the Pelicans (41 - 19 in the fourth quarter), what's next?

 

I love seeing Hartenstein get minutes. Keep resting Clint so MDA has no choice but developing Hartenstein. We need him getting all the experience he can from now til playoffs. That way, when the hack attack starts cause you can't make free throws Hartenstein can come in and save the day.

Hey, I liked seeing our youngsters get some playing time. I only wish we could have seen William Howard make his debut. I'm not disappointed in losing without Harden, Westbrook, and Clint as much as I was losing to the Warriors without Curry and Thompson.

I’m genuinely amazed how badly the Rockets are coached in the 4th quarter. Just genuinely amazed.

 

I'd probably agree with this, but this isn't the first time we've blown a decent lead or had a horrible quarter this season.

Don't get me wrong, I expected us to lose tonight. But this also comes down to MDA. He tends to become rattled when the other teams gain momentum. He gets bailed out by Harden's brilliance.

 

Looks like what we suspected all these years were right...


This team is 100% a lottery team without a healthy James Harden.

 

I'm not.... we're coached by a coach who doesn't believe in playing defense or calling a timeout when the other team starts gaining momentum.

 

I can't believe people are b****ing about a loss without our 3 stars. Now that's just BS. Quit hating and get real. At least our young guns got some development.

 

Like I said...it is genuinely amazing how indifferent MDA is to actual strategy and actual coaching late game
