The NFL reseeds in the playoffs. So if the 6th seed beats the Pats then the Texans go to KC in the divisional around a team we already beat. that’s the beauty of it all. Texans should consider throwing the game against TEN cause I think the titans have a shot at winning against NE much more than any other wild card team.
KC is a much stronger team than NE. KC was unlikely to lose in the wild card round. NE on the other hand looks shaky.
And still... Tennessee beat KC. KC also could have lost to a bad Chargers team today. Baltimore is really the only team in the AFC that can puff their chest.
And? what's your point? The Chiefs have nothing to do with this thread. The debate is whether the Titans, Steelers, or Raiders have the best shot at helping the texans avoid the ravens in the playoffs.
The point is the Pats outcome did very little to change any of this. The Pats likely a bigger favorite at home against the Titans as opposed to what the chiefs would have been.
They already had projected lines for all outcomes. I’d still take the chances facing an Andy Reid playoff team vs a Belichick led one.
Why do you even think of the second round? These are the Texans. The team is not playing the Bengals or a third string qb. Expect a blowout and game over by halftime. Then everyone will be calling to fire Bob.The repeat cycle next year with same situation.
The Bills are about on par with those Bengals teams... which means everybody will likely say a win is meaningless.
If we beat the Bill's, everyone will say give bob an extension. He got us out of the divisional round
This bills team is way better than those Bengals teams. Josh Allen can actually run, and we have trouble against running qbs.
BAM. Respect for putting your balls on the table right away. Nice not to see wishy-washy posting by someone that doesn't have an absurd posting history.
Way better? Doubtful. And if Josh Allen has to run/scramble a bunch, the Texans probably have a good shot to win. Still mostly concerned about the Texans run defense, their pass rush and ultimately their secondary. those Bengals teams probably had more talent at the skills positions and bigger playmakers on defense (along with a defensive head coach guru).
