You left out Epoch Times and Daily Caller.

Yeah, I know.... my WB hypothetical is a right wing conspiracy talking point on probably all of the above mentioned fake media. The thing is the same group has been laying out the playbook on the FISA stuff way back before the Mueller Report. And they got it right. Guess what....Devin Nunes was right...OMG!! That's gotta sting a little. I believe about 9 high level leftover Obama Admin FBI agents or AG officials have either been fired, demoted or are no longer with their respective agencies because of their improper actions that on the surface appear to be rooted in political bias. You know these folks loved their jobs and built careers but threw it all away by letting their emotions guide their actions. It's kinda tragic. I believe they believed in what they did was the right thing to do even if it was wrong (ends justify the means again here....it's a theme)

I've asked this before but got some smart ass answers but really...what is a 'balanced' news source, in anyone's opinion? I'll book mark it. The media's role in this is probably the biggest story that we aren't discussing. The only news I trust is the local morning news, so I can get traffic and weather updates. And my favorite source didn't re-up with Jennifer Renya, so I'm really pissed about that.

He made the allegation that the FISA warrant was obtained based on the Steele dossier and that the warrants had been repeatedly renewed after the FBI withheld exculpatory information from the FISA court.

Obama ordered his intelligence agencies to spy on Trump? If so, Trump and Nunes were right.

Obviously they were completely wrong. Obama ordered nothing. Trump was never the target of an investigation.

Russia did interfere in the 2016 election.

US intelligence agencies did investigate the Russian interference.

There were 100+ documented contacts between Russia and individuals associated with the Trump campaign.

The 100+ contacts fell within the purview of the Russia investigation.

    Stay with me now.

One of the 100+ Russian contacts was Carter Page. The IG report (investigating the investigators) found issues with the continuation of the FISA surveillance but not the instigation. The IG Report found that the source of the issues were negligence and was not politically motivated.

That is all you currently got.

    • Who said Obama ordered anything? Is that what you are saying? I'm not.
    • I agree. Russia did interfere. The Repubs referred to a report they issued acknowledging this and also made recommendations on how to hopefully deal with it in the future. I haven't read the report. It was passed out to the House Intelligence Committee during one of the Dems witness testimony. I think Fiona Hill.
    • I'll take your word on the number of contacts. How many contacts did the DNC or the Clinton Campaign have? I'll bet you a beer it's close to your number. It's not illegal, btw.
    • Carter Page was a CIA asset or at least has worked for the CIA in the past. One of the things not disclosed to the FISA court.
Here's where you lost me: The IG Report and Horowitz's testimony did not find there was no political motivation. They did not have documentary evidence that there was. There is a difference. When asked during his testimony if he could conclude that there wasn't political bias he answered no. He had no evidence either way.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I believe there was. I don't have any documentary evidence to support that. I can't find any explanation for deceiving the FISA Judge. Why go out of your way? Why doctor up an email? Negligence? "Oops, I carelessly doctored up this email. My bad."

    Correct.

The IG looked for political bias and found none. That does not mean that there was no political bias, just that they could not find it. In the legal sense, the IG did not find political bias evidence from which to bring charges.

Best case for Trump: someone put a thumb on the investigation scale for one of 100+ Russian contacts.

Worse case for Trump: the person in charge of the FISA re-application was grossly negligent.

    All in all, weak sauce.

To put into context, there is a virtual tsunami of evidence that Trump ask Ukraine for personal favors and withheld military aid to force Ukraine to comply.

Best case for the USA is Trump resigns and takes an offer not to be prosecuted.

Because of course nothing suspicious that trump asked his chief of staff to leave the room do his personal lawyer could discuss aid with foreign countries

    Dear Santa,
Please let them have a trial with witnesses in the Senate. The Country needs an all out cleansing. I promise to throw out my toys to make room for any new and improved ones.

Seriously. This is what needs to happen. Need to hear from Rudy. Need to hear from Adam. Need to hear from Mick. Need to hear from Bolton. And fuggit.....put Colonel Jessup (aka orange guy). Put all the cards on the table.
