We all agree Rockets have been playing like absolute garbage. Rockets only 3 games back of the 1 seed. Rockets have had about 5-6 very bad loses and are 3 games back.. wild.
Well I'd take a shitty win over a character losd every single time. Still crazy Harden had to play 40 mins vs a the Nyets with no Kyrie and KD though.
In real life difference between spencer diwindie and james harden are not as great as we often picture it...they can do all the same stuff, difference between the best and mediocre are nuances... if you take into consideration variations, ups and down of the form , the variance in shooting, ups and downs based on randomness, the refs, the fatigue, the teammates and the fact that 20 pts lead or win is a basically 6 posessions lead and can be erased within minutes, then it becomes more clear how this is possible and not crazy.
KD is not really even on that team yet, and I think they may be better without Kyrie. They are still 16-15. They are not a terrible team.
harden's 3 off the bump on the defender to seal the win was just an amazing amazing shot. if not for the combination of the box-and-1 defense plus our scrubs' inability to make a wide open shot, he would have had another 60pt triple double unfortunately i don't have many kind words for the rest of the team... -- pringles is a fuking fool. tucker is quite clearly exhausted w/ dead legs now, courtesy of our 7man regular rotation. westbrick needs to be coached and told what a good shot is and what a crap contested shot is. and even our 3 jackass broadcast crew were questioning why clemons was not on the floor when NOBODY ELSE COULD HIT AN OPEN SHOT. and again, when the 3's aren't falling this fuking fool has no plan B smh -- mclemore has reverted back to career scrub form. can't believe he's supposed to be good for only one thing and can't even do that when he's getting the most wide open looks of any player in the league thanks to wilt harden. because of fuking cheapass tilman we're stuck playing scrubs like this -- something always wrong with clint. tucker and harden kill themselves playing every game despite injury or sickness, basically subsidizing the sick days of our fragile crystalware players -- somebody needs to have a talk with westbrick. homey is out of control with the horrible shot selection and unforced turnovers -- this was one of the most difficult games to watch all season. our defense in the paint is horrid. tilman's cheapo bench and cheapo asst coach elston turner are to blame. but the zebras were also absolute trash. aaron smith and natalie sago have to be 2 of the 5 worst nba refs. sure there are others who "accidentally" rack up missed calls at silver's behest. but these 2 morons genuinely don't know wtf they're doing out there. our guys were yelling at both of them nonstop b/c they were fuking up nonstop
Totally agree, but you gotta give props to Austin Rivers. He showed up last night and got us the W. When the refs didn’t count Hardens and 1 and two plays later the nets guard drives to the basket and falls down without even attempting a shot. Can someone explain how he gets two free throws eventhough he was never in a shooting motion and Hardens And 1s don’t even count anymore .
rivers did play well. a lot of games his shot is off, but his D is always there. he was shooting so well last nite i was kind of scared that tonite against NOP when we're really gonna need him -- that he might have already emptied his barrel :X
Refs were awful last night. At one point, they called a foul on a Nets drive and the player made the shot. They then said it was on the floor, but they gave him two free throws even though the Nets weren’t in the Bonus. I was listening to Ackerman on the radio and he was baffled...said the Nets coaches and players were baffled as well. Said that D’Antoni must not have realized because he wasn’t arguing.
But The solution is for HARDEN to move more and setup plays for those players in the midrange. Rocket River
You can't be serious? How are we going to get stronger? PJ will be dead by the playoffs. He is already starting to show fatigue. James will ultimately run out of gas again as well. These guys can't keep up these ridiculous minutes especially against mediocre teams like the Nets and Warriors. The biggest hurdle is Westbrook. The guy can't shoot. Teams are leaving him more and more open and in the playoffs they will just continue the double on James and dare Westbrook to shoot which he will do and continue to brick shot after shot. They lack focus especially on defense. There is no bench outside of EG and Rivers and MDA refuses to give young guys minutes. We have no money and no trade pieces. The Rockets getting stronger relies on Russell magically learning how to shoot and massive minutes reduction and maybe time off for guys like 50 year old PJ.
Rivers would like to get more minutes. He definitely gives that impression, and who can blame him? I wonder how that’ll play out with Gordon coming back.
