Do you believe we can win a title with small ball 3 guard rotations?

LeBron was just an example. I've seen more than enough guys who I couldn't even name just easily manhandle some of our little guys in the paint. It's a lot easier for a guy with a long wingspan to deflect shots playing wing, or snatch that rebound over a guy 4 inches shorter. EGO isn't going to win many of those battles taking the spot of a forward. You will see a lot of flailing arms our of frustration though.

I have no expectations on our new signing. I mean I was hoping more for 6' 10', experienced, and a good defender, but yeah, a G League guy at 6' 8" is more what I would expect the the Rockets to get. Will he be a big upgrade over House? Who knows, I just know we need better defense out there. Someone to step in and actually be a defensive threat

A defensive threat wouldnt be making the vet min, just saying. We already have a big back court and an adequate sized center and some decent sized 3s so the Rox are really only a midget at PF cuz PJ Tucker is only 6'5. But you wont find a PF for the min that is better than PJ Tucker.

we need to face Lakers, Dallas, Clippers
Finals needs to play with bucks, Sixers or Boston

We still need one big. I suggest to sign Faried or Jeff Green for backup first. I think after curry and Thompson back, we dont have any chances, as they have one more big and their bench power better than us

Where are the Garnetts, Duncans and Boshes of this league?

If Faried is your biggest PF at 6'8.....boi.

Morey believes we can win a title shooting 45+ 3s a game with below average shooters

I think we can win if playoffs were single elimination games, not 7 game series.

They can win with every superstar of the opponents getting injured.

It feels like it happened in a different universe that at one time, Morey threw all his weight into obtaining a big man, Dwight, on the free agent market. Furthermore, the team was fully behind it, even assembling all previous legendary Rockets centers and unveiling a huge Legacy of Bigs banner at his signing rally.

Yeah, that particular experiment with that particular person didn't work out, but it seems to have gone much further and just eradicated the notion of big players as important from all subsequent acquisition activity. I mean, I know they're not that common, but now the team is actually lagging behind other teams that never forgot that they're still an integral part of the game. Because, you know, they're tall in a game that rewards height.

They can as it’s possible but wouldn’t put my money on it.

Not with this roster, just not enough lights out shooters not named Harden (and he isn’t always a 100% lock either). The Warriors did it twice with 2 of the best shooters in the league and a cast of extremely good defensive players and a system of ball movement we have never seen in Houston. The Rockets success has been dominated by iso ball which has always flamed out in the post season, we’ll have to see how it plays out this year again but I expect pretty much more of the same ...

True. I don’t think we can compare the Rockets to the Warriors, though. Yes there a guard oriented team but they run an entirely different offense based of ice cream pics and cutting to the basket. They have a player in Green that I’m playing inside or out. Rockets, on the other hand, don’t have any semblance of an inside game with the exception of lobs and layups. Where are you staying here for one big guy that can post up with a mid range shot off a pick and role. That’s the main difference, and will be the reason why the Rockets don’t advance in the playoffs.

Personally, I think it’s a ridiculous offense. Point being, when Harden gets double teamed there’s no one to take the load off. And without an inside presence, good teams in the playoffs will simply guard the perimeter knowing the Rockets will go cold at some point during the game. And when the Rockets go cold from the perimeter it’s game over.

We dont have money, Faried can give out speed, score 20 plus with 10 plus rebounds. He can slam dunk and alley loop. That was what I knew last season, but MDA does not give time for him is a the court which makes me do not understand.

It was considered beautiful basketball when GSW ran their small ball offense.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I agree we need size and defense. And we have streaky shooter we need a pure shooter. Coach is a blunder and needs to go bring I Calvin Murphy or mark jackson the harden dribbling show has to stop. The rockets have turn Westbrook in to a certified role player. We are not gonna win unless the defense and rebounding is not addressed
