Whoever that dude in the sweater is (doesn’t seem worth learning his name) kept trying to derail their praise of Harden, but Jalen and Stephen A weren’t having it.

 

I remember why I don't watch those. Max thinks Anthony Davis is almost as good as Harden is offensively.

 

I agree that we have a better shot at beating the Lakers than the Clippers. Out of us and LAC, we have the only guy that has the potential to slow down AD and that is Clint Capela.

But to say that Harden is only marginally better offensively than AD is just an absolute braindead take. Even saying that he's only slightly better offensively than anyone on the Clippers is a joke. There's levels to this ****, c'mon now Screamin A.

Also it doesn't surprise me that these guys continue to claim that our offensive style is our biggest issue. Guys that make millions of dollars to talk about sports for a living expose their casual-ness everyday.

 

Stephen changed his tune after Jalen spoke, which was initiated by Max's foolishness.

At least he said Harden has improved defensively.

 

AD is no where as good (talented and skilled) as Harden, but he can be just as effective by virtue of being a very athletic and skilled 7-footer in a position that has very little of that.

 

i think its a big deal kuzma hasnt performed that well. if it turns out he just isnt as good as everyone thought it makes the lakers very top heavy. offensively i would take our supporting cast over theirs. their size still worries me but I am liking our chances more and more. I respect the clippers a lot but they don't really scare me. im not saying we would definitely beat them but i feel confident in our ability to compete with them.

Harden can get u 40 and 10 assists dictating pace...AD needs others to get him the ball...he can’t make others better like Harden

 

We're not at the Lakers level when both teams are healthy. It's just a fact.

It's sad that the Warriors are finally gone but this team has also gone downhill since the 17-18' team.

 

Can be =/= always is or even is. Like I said, AD is obviously not as good as Harden just like Giannis is not as good, but both can be as effective as him based on the sheer fact that they are hyper athletic big man who can anchor both the offense and defense. While a much more talented and consistent scorer, Harden still falls pretty far behind on the defensive end compared to the two. Would I rather have either over Harden? No, but the fact remains that both players have had a ton of games where they were in fact just as effective.

 

yes, the size and D of MIL are a serious problem we gotta face up to (coach job) , but we can see eye-to-eye w/ either lakers or clippers.

 

I mean, if your point is just that AD can have some occasional games where he’s just as effective as a player on Harden’s level, then sure, I guess. Overall, the level of effectiveness between the 2 is not close. If it was, then the Pelicans’ record in games AD played would not have been as trash as it was.

Not really. Saying he cannot be the defensive anchor of a team is not underestimating his D. Has his D improved? Yes and by quite a lot. Is it anywhere as good throughout the course of the game as Giannis or AD? Absolutely not.
