Among the group that hasn’t won, they pick the most athletic or just a foreigner altogether.

The narrative for Dirk (choker / regular season player / no defense) changed once he won the chip. There’s still a chance for Harden.

Harden has been hated on far more than Dirk used to be, amazingly.

To be fair, those guys are 20 and and 25. They are just too young to judge them based on their playoff success.

James Harden didn't have the same stigma from the media when he joined the Rockets at the age of 24.

The issue is the degree of difficulty and good fortune needed to get him a ring. As opposed to the window the Mavs hit in between Lebrons years switching teams where they seized on an opportunity.

If Harden is staying with Houston, seeing how we are locked in with the talent we have, and the strength of the West for many years, I just don’t know if Harden can win a ring here imo... even as a homer that wants it for him badly. I feel like the city of Houston really owes him as he took a big chance on us and has done everything he can do with some hiccups on the supporting talent and coaching (especially the McHale years).

I hope I’m wrong but not sure Harden will have the opportunity that Dirk had to get one late career with his hometown team. For Harden to get one, I’m afraid it’ll have to be via trade to another powerhouse team with other superstars who are far better than Russ.

I think Harden does not trust easily. This is also a very big problem.

His style of trailing behind when not having the ball, would rub many players the wrong way, except WB, Ibaka and Durant.

I mean yeah CP3 had his trust only for 1 season, a HOF PG.......

I agree, winning a ship with a PF MVP who isn't a good defender and cannot dribble effectively, is really hard.

They had the corpses of Peja, Kidd and JTerry.

Not to mention Corey Brewer. Dang, Carlisle was good.

Chiney Ogwumike gives the Rockets a pass for the GS loss. Says that EG's return will fix the occasional shooting woes.

    Positive vibes.

Player's Tribune: Quentin R. and Darius Miles talks to Nash (bookmarked question on his thoughts on Rockets and Harden).

Long interview but vid jumps to Rockets 1h:10m-1h:13m (~3 min). Sentiment echoes what others have said before, but nice to hear an ex player to say it.

    Interview back in Nov.

Good stuff about Harden. Unfortunately everyone will ignore the praise he heaps on MDA's "system". I guess he's clueless too.

I'm glad Chiney has found a lane that no one wanted on ESPN. There are no Rockets apologists on the network and proud Houstonian/Nigerian, Chiney Ogwimike, is happy to fill it.

I hope she secures the bag.

Yea a bit of a push and tug. I'm low key jelly that Nash is helping GSW with shooting. He worked with KD when KD was there. Be it Nash helping Durant or other way: Nash soaked up knowledge from KD, could be valuable. Wish he was with our guys helping 3pt shooting.

I'm a CP3 apologist who is still optimistic about Russ. But to hear from Nash, saying how difficult it is to be a PG in MDA's system, is very sobering. CP3 was the perfect point guard along with Harden to run MDA's ridiculousness.. I don't know if Russ is smart or efficient enough to do it.

Rockets should have protected CP3, man. No back 2 backs. 30 minute cap. all that.. smh..

So Undefeated (really don’t like their stuff) did the top 5 of the decade.
    Lebron
    Curry
    KD
    Kawhi
    Westbrook

This to me is one of the most insulting media voted things I’ve seen. Kawhi on all decade? Look up the numbers.

Kawhi has lead his team to a ring. He’s a top defensive player. I disagree but I get it.

Westbrook over Harden is utterly laughable, though.

You know how I feel about Cp, and Im not trying to argue here, but I do wanna say is there is no guarantee that load management would have made Cp a better player in the playoffs. Like Kawhi being amazing in the playoffs isnt specifically because of load management, it just keeps him from getting injured. Cp was healthy in the playoffs last year, and he just ....didnt come through that one time.
