I don't understand how the Titans are plugged in as a Wild Card team on Yahoo Sports. If so, the Texans need to knock them out next week. To face them a third time in the playoffs would be a replay of last year's nightmare. Otherwise, there is a glimmer of hope until we face the Ravens. However, as quirky, inconsistent, and unpredictable as the Texans are, who knows.
Can anyone explain to me how the Raiders aren't mathematically eliminated? If them and TEN are both 8-8, don't the Titans get the tie-breaker since they beat the Raiders head to head? Or is there some scenario where Raiders > Steelers > Titans all at 8-8 based on tie-breakers?
From cbs: Oakland needs to beat Denver next Sunday, needs losses by the Titans at Houston and Steelers at Baltimore along with Indianapolis beating Jacksonville. That would create a four-way tie. Oakland would win the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh based on strength of victory and Indianapolis by virtue of its win in Week 4. The Colts would eliminate Tennessee by having a better division record.
The Titans have the tiebreaker over the Steelers as of right now, but the only viable way we'd play Tennessee in the playoffs is in the AFC Championship game. If that's when we're facing them, sign me up all day.
I can't believe the Cowboys are actually still in the playoff picture. Horrible underachieving team with a even worse coach!
Cowboys, Panthers, Falcons, Bears, Chargers, Browns, Steelers, Jaguars, Colts, Rams all miss the playoffs
