Particularly since they knew WFV gets hurt every year. To think the Bucs picked up Perriman off the WW. He would have beya perfect backup for when WFV got hurt. I hope they draft a good backup to WFV in the 3rd or 4th Rd.
I'm on the record. Burn his ass at the stake if we flame out in the playoffs lol In a league designed for teams to be mediocre, O'Brien has led this franchise into just that--mediocrity. He's a front-runner. The Texans will continue to be a poverty franchise until they get football people to run the football part of the organization.
Legit one of the most common plays for a reason, because it has proven to be effective, and yet OBrien has NEVER called that play in his entire tenure here. It’s absolutely insane.
It's really baffling that we traded for Duke (would led the league in receptions from the rb position since he entered the league) but refuse to design plays for him.
If that was the case then we wouldn’t have went after Caserio in the first place. I don’t think O’Brien necessarily wants power I just think he wants everybody to be aligned with how to make this team into a super bowl contender year in and year out. That’s why we went and got Easterby that’s why we went after Caserio. And I believe we will get Caserio soon as he’s able to sign with another team.
But we do have probably the only coach in the league as despised by their own fans as the Cowboys...and perhaps the only team that might swap coaches straight up.
Understandable, both coach have been with team long ass time, only thing to show for it is division titles and quick exit out of playoffs
He wants someone who he believes can give him the players he needs to win. He believes the reason the Texans keep losing in the playoffs is because he doesn't have enough players to work with. He may not be wrong, but at the same time it's clear that he can't coach beyond his talent. He is essentially the definition of average. He just does what's expected of his roster more or less. The problem with the Texans is that they're so incapable of outperforming their talent. Even the Jaguars managed to put together one amazing playoff run and could've won it all if they had even someone remotely better than Blake Bortles. The Jets managed to even do it with butt fumble QB. The Texans can't even do that. In perhaps the most volatile sport where the idea is that "Any Given Sunday" anyone can supposedly win, the Texans have found a way to never even fluke their way into a serious playoff run. How predictable and cookie cutter as a coach do you have to be to always lose when you're the underdog.
if BoB needs an EXACT roster to “fit” HIS system, then he has lost the meaning of what “coaching” is. Look at the greatest coaches, they adapt. Belichick has done that over and over. It’s not always one way or one game plan to win. BoB is who he is - he needs a perfect team around him to elevate him. He can’t elevate a team.
