I agree, James is a superstar, historic scoring talent. But is flawed as a superstar, nights like this, if his shot is not there, there is not a lot of other things where he is adding value.

Instead of a complimentary guy, we bring his best friend that fits awkwardly. That´s on Morey and Fertita.

Lack of leadership, consistency, accountability and a basic defensive scheme it´s on MDA. And don´t even get me started on the adjustments.

Right now I think Fertita compunded everything by not dealing with his coach situation with the required balls. Either extend or bring your guy, but wasting a year of Harden´s primer to prove a point. Maybe someone needs to shut up and listen to his basketball advisors.

 

I'm speaking of how he gets those 40 pts. You can have absurdly bad shootings nights and still score 40. Harden has done it plenty especially on those nights where he gets 16+ fta.

Again, his efg% is lower than almost all other superstar scorers in the game.

Again, does any other superstar run as hot & cold as Harden? I don't think so.
Highest of highs, lowest of lows.
This is why I'm out on Playoff James Harden.
He don't have it, team just goes in the tank.

Thank you. Teams come back from 20 plus all the time. Often against the Rockets. This game ain't over by a long shot.

Impressed by WB's drive, hustle, and improved shot selection.

 

Tilman has not hired his guy for GM nor has he hired his guy for coach. Morey just escalated the timetable for himself and dantoni, well the no extension speaks volumes, he will either tap out like he did in NY or get fired cause the team's gimmick was perfected by the warriors and the rest of the league did the same.

Plus the league, refs and other teams don't like us....... We are on our own.
Tilman, I believe, wants to be loved, he will fire both, IMO just to appease China, NBA, the refs and the media.

 

But that's just it. That's part of his greatness. He finds a way almost every night. Tonight he hasn't found a way and doesn't even look like a league average player. That's incredibly rare.

 

James has burned himself out with all this scoring and work he has done. He needs to do some load management. It isn't just the physical you can see he has lost a bit of his will. I know its MDA's fault ultimately but as long as James goes along with it he is a part of the problem as well. 38 minutes a night is to much. We have players that can help some but our coach has to design a offense that helps. I mean its not hard a few guys moving with out the ball, pick n rolls and a few back cuts you can etch out a decent offense. Iso your main guy every play is wrong and not smart in the long run.

lol, all jokes aside about derailing. This is tough to watch, I was genuinely expecting a team with heart and fire like 17-18 rockets. It hurts when you have players but guys aren't living up to it. It's early but apart of the requirement with this soft schedule was to use it and get a cushion, otherwise what's the difference between last year?

It was an awkward time in the game where there were like 4 mins left and we were up slightly less than 20 , we have seen big leads slip away , and the lead was like 10 before harden came in and brought it back up .
