Prediction 1: Cole is leveraging New York for a bigger LA deal. He wants LA more.

Prediction 2: Astros beat either team he ends up with.

I don't think Cole is coming back. Personally, I didn't care for his press conference right after the World Series. The Astros will come up with a replacement. Season's like he had, may not be repeated.

Boras once got a team to bid against itself not just once... but numerous times on the same free agent. I don’t think teams are phased by him at all anymore.... hence his reliance on the media trying to stir up controversy.

At this point, I really don’t care where GC go to except for Yankees. Really hope none of the LA team step up and outbid or match Yanks offer. I can’t wait to hear from yanks fans on social media if they don’t land Cole.

Did I read 324 million per 9 years? That's insane. Congrats to Cole. What a change his career took after leaving the pirates.

... Oh yeah. And **** the Yankees.

Going to need to have a JV-like run to stay dominant for that long... but he deserves the money.

Looks like the stros will have to beat the Yanks in 7 games instead of 6 now

I wonder how many managers will Cole have during the 9 years. Way too much to pay for a pitcher, it is going to be a Red Sox problem.

Yeah I mean committing that much money to a pitcher for that long is insane. It may work for a few years but the run Cole had with Houston of 19 straight wins is highly unlikely to be ever repeated. Shoot— we had Cole for two years and he couldn’t win us a WS - nothing is guaranteed... but yeah, the yanks are back to being the evil empire

Yanks have so much depth and in their infield as well. If they sign Correa as well in a few years man oh man. I'd fkin be on sucide watch.
