I’m watching CP3 blow by guys all night and people say he was done. 30/7/4/2 with no turnovers. I pray Harden demanded it happen. But honestly. This is case closed. No point in comparing them anymore. Westbrook sucks, and CP absolutely doesn’t. Let’s hope Russ shot fixes itself, or he gets healthier, or they trade him. Something.
+/- is a terrible metric to base your argument. Look I was never a fan of his play, I’ve watched so much OKC games in the past it’s actually kinda sad. I even posted before he was terrible fit here but I’m not gonna say he’s a complete negative or wish an injury. Let the season play out.
10+ years of data suggests Russ can't shoot, and apparently many here at Clutchfans can't read data. DD
I'm mostly wishing for a trade. The other was a joke. I just think it's hopeless so long as he's on our team.
No one is going to take a declining player like Westbrook for 40m and 4 years - unless you are a TERRIBLE GM. Which is why I know for a fact Morey did not want this trade. DD
I am hoping some crap team like Charlotte with no plan for the future will take him on just to fill seats. I'd trade him for practically anything offered. John Wall is just about the only contract in the league I would say no to. I'd literally accept Nic Batum + Bismack Biyombo. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yxx58gyn Another trade that works is Westbrook to Cleveland to bring back Brandon Knight and add Tristan Thompson. I'd do that too.
But Morey was able to move Tracy and CP3 who is literally a 5 year older 40miion declining player. Sheesh are you tired of throwing out absolutes that are always wrong? You can’t tell me Westbrook would be harder to move than CP3 if it came to that.
The Heat were super interested in Westbrook, this is Pat Riley we are talking about, had a trade lined up and were talking with OKC the entire time but Westbrook chose Htown over Miami. No doubt if the Rockets wanted to trade Westbrook they could.
the other destination is new york... boy they would have jumped at westbrook trade in a blink of an eye.. thats why its hard to get superstars to change... they simply dont have to... and can go wherever they want
ppl also believed ryan anderson was untradeable and many others.... so much so that when i hear that someone is untradeable I am almost certain it can be done and its just a sign of an agenda & or lazy thinking
I bet there is a list of teams that would. Suns would be a nice fit with Booker and they need a PG. Then there are teams like the Magic and Charlotte that would love to just be relevant and would probably bite.
I can use stats to prove my point too... Rockets' best lineup according to this metric has Harden and WB together as the best lineup. https://stats.nba.com/lineups/advanced/
So we should probably realize it's going to some time to figure this out and hope the bench starts hitting those 3s being created for them to give WB some help.
Coincidentally this year.... Our RPG has gone from #27 in 2018 to #4 in 2019. Our Possessions Per Game has gone from #22 in 2018 to #1 in 2019. Capela and WB are the outliers.
The only thing I can give WB credit for is rebounding. That's the one (and only) thing he does well IMO. WB isn't stealing rebounds, Clint is averaging a career-high rebounding % right now and WB is still rebounding at the rate of most centers / good rebounding PF's.
