Man...are you all seeing all the hand-wringing over this? MSNBC ran commentator after commentator on the air last night and today saying this is unfair, the DNC is unfair to have rules on the debate qualifications, etc. Booker out there with his "more billionaires than black people" line. All these blue checks out here with "She's being treated unfairly because she's black and she's a woman!" This stuff is ridiculous.
Exactly this. Biden's support (and most of the top candidates save for Bernie) is a mile wide but only an inch deep. No knock on Biden, he's worked very hard for a very long time to be the default candidate, but it's a tenuous position to be in. I heard it put perfectly the other day -- "if you have four frontrunners, then you really have no frontrunners". For almost every candidate their support is extremely soft and can change on a dime. The reason we haven't seen a lot of volatility yet is because there's simply too many candidates to have extreme shifts. It's essentially an Electoral traffic jam. The question is how long until this traffic jam clears (i.e. 5-6 candidates left). If it clears up before Super Tuesday, Joe is in big trouble (as are all the rest of the Big 4). The needle is already moving in the wrong direction for Biden in IA and NH, and you and I are in agreement that he probably won't be able to recover from a 4+ place finish in those states.
Blaming the establishment and the media is en vogue.... You ran a crap campaign and couldn’t connect with voters. It happens.
I never saw her as that, she looks like the aunt who is always commenting on what she has and judging everybody else in the family.
What? I watched MSNBC from 3 to 7 and nobody was hand wringing. The only issue with her not being in the race was that there would not be a person of color on the debate stage and some people saying she had it hard being a woman and black and that sentiment was by 2 people over 4 shows. The most common theme throughout the night was that she tried too hard to go to the left and then realized it was not her best lane. What were you watching?
pretty sure Harris is still gonna win this thing. "Now Kamala Harris is a 2020 candidate, Trump stands no chance at winning another election": https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/kamala-harris-election-2020-democratic-nominee-donald-trump-a8739386.html
