    Meh, POTW often gets spread around to lesser players. Usually to a player with no losses that week. (Harden and Luka both lost a game)

    Carmelo went 3-0 vs the mighty Bulls and Thunder. Played the Bulls twice.

    I didn't think he was a good fit here. Bzdelik probably wouldn't have returned to Houston otherwise.

    Melo not a fit here, didn't mean some of us don't want to see him succeed elsewhere. Honestly was surprised it took another team this long. It's nice to see him found his stride.

    This award though, not sure even if Melo want it, knowing the week others in the west have had. Feels forced. Since he got the award, I guess congrats.

    Melo is the GOAT of getting player of the week honors. Who else could put up those numbers and get that award? Think about who all he beat out! He beat out CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard who also had mediocre weeks!

    MVP, MIP, single-handedly saving Portland's season while propelling them to the best record in the league at season's end. NBA champion. Finals MVP.

    I'm glad he came back strong. It's a good story. But best player in the West? Come on, NBA.

    Thinly disguised shot at Houston for dumping his tired ass at the beginning of last season. He was never going to work for us, but kudos to the Blazers for finding a role for him.

    No kidding. Heck, I'm kind of glad the guy's had a few good games. He went forever before a team would give him a chance, and I'm sure he's enjoying it. But "Player of the Week" over James Harden's insanely good stretch? Crazy.
