Some say these are rumors. Clutchpoint, espn, etc....

    Hardaway, Kleber, picks for Love
C Lee, 2nd picks for Iggy

    starters
KP, Love, Iggy, Wright and Luka
Mavs have top 5 bench in the nba.

Can they win the west in playoffs?

What picks though? Need to ask the sauces that cause i'm not sure the Mavs have even 2nd rounders to trade...and aside of that, i just don't see a fit there, they need an athlethic defender to play between Porzingis and Doncic going forward, imo at least.

This seems so crazy that i can actually see it happen lol. Would also mean Love has literally no value in the market.

Mavs can trade 2025 First to cavs and have two 2nd picks available for trade.

Smart Iggy can help defend Kawhi, lebron and harden.

That starting lineup would get torched repeatedly. They’d be asking a 36 year old Andre Iguadala, who wouldn’t be in game shape, to basically anchor that defense. They’d also have to worry about 3 injury prone guys (KP, iggy, Love) staying healthy through the end of the season and into the playoffs. Doesn’t mean Dallas won’t do it, but that’s a lot of risk and potential mortgaging of the future with Doncic only in his 2nd year.

I’d also question the market on Love if they took back Hardaway and Kleber. They’d have to be getting back multiple 1st rounders as neither Hardaway (2 yrs $20M per) or Kleber (4 yrs $8M per) are expirings. There has to be something better out there.

As far as Memphis, I could see them pushing for a 1st and making a trade difficult. They could also probably do better than Lee and a mid to late 2nd.

Mavs have GS 2020 2nd round pick, currently at 31st pick, that is enough for Iggy.
Mavs have money to buy 2nd picks.

Three best unrestricted free agents next summer are Davis, Gallo and Harrell.

Sure. Whatever. I hope the Mavericks make the deals and no they wouldn’t come out of the West. The playoffs will not be kind to them either way.

That's true i guess, Mavs 2025 pick doesn't look great but who knows, Porzingis might not be that durable going forward, and the rest of the Mavs roster is still meh as today. Plus, that's still a 1st rounder, and it's possible at this point teams are not willing to pay more than a 1st and expirings for Love.

Good points, Love has been on the market for at least an entire year and no one traded for him so, i guess it's either the Cavs asking too much, or no one out there willing to move good assets for him.

And BigBum actually made a good point, the Mavs have the Warriors 2nd round pick which is basically a late 1st.

As for the fit on the court yeah, looks bad to me too, but if i think about Cuban, i can actually see him make a trade like this one, especially if it doesn't take them out of the Giannis race.

Cuban is crazy about win. It’s possible.
DeRozan is impossible. Harden is not trading Brick.

They'd be a favorite, but they still may struggle against the LA teams or healthy Warriors.

Uhh, not a chance. They would probably be third best team in the west, and even that's a stretch. I'd have a hard time to choose them over Rockets and Denver.

Lee and 2nd round pick for Iggy, that would be a great deal - even if Iggy doesn't play a minute for Dallas. His veteran presence would be enough for these guys.

Kleber for Love, no. Not because Kleber is better than Love (he isn't), but because you would give even more on defense with Love at four. Then KP would have to play center, and he's not strong enough to do that on defense yet. He is a great weakside shot blocker and can hold his own 1 on 1 against "lighter" centers like Capela, Gobert etc. Davis, Embiid, even KAT? Hell no.

I like Lee for Iggy. Saves Mem 5 mill, gives Mavs a nice defensive-minded vet with championship experience. Yes, he likely only plays 20mpg, is a rental etc etc, doesn't matter Mavs give up virtually no value, Iggy would be a good presence for Luka and KP if they make the playoffs.

Them trading for Love? Hell to the naw. Love's contract sucks, he's too old to be a core player, and his defense and lack of lateral quickness wouldn't be ideal with KP and Luka (KP excellent shot blocker at his size understandably poor lateral movement)

Love could have been a perfect addition to their Euro blek squad.

Love and Iggy would be much more substantial for the Rockets, Spurs, Jazz, Lakers, and Trailblazers.

Teams can still key-in on Luka. These other teams 2-3+ go to scorers, even after trades. The Mavs need another star to go Kristaps and Luka.

    Harden/Westbrook
LBJ/AD w/Dwight, McGee, Bradley, and Green on the defense.
    Derozan/Aldridge/Murray
    Dame/CJ/Melo
    Mitchell/Conley/Gobert
