I do wonder what would happen if the military disagreed so badly with a sitting president and had no civil recourse to remove him from office (ala current senate and cabinet), would a military coup actually be plausible if say 60% of the public supported the removal of the president?

 

Let's hope not, that would pretty much be the end of democracy here.

Equating war crimes that even caused the Secretary of the Navy to resign over with turkeys... guess this is what defending trump has brought you to...

 

Maybe he'll set another new precedent and actually kill it.

Did it commit cold blooded murder? Because if it did, with the whole hen house testifying against him and he was found guilty at trial ,then yeah, they probably would.

 

So Trump couldn't be bothered to serve in the military because of the horrible case of bone spurs that he had. But he has no problem overriding military justice case.

The lack of support for our military from this president and his supporters is disgusting.

Yeah he's an *******, but from 1966 - 1973 dodging the draft by any means possible was considered morally justifiable by the whole generation. There wasn't nearly the patriotic fervor of WW2 or 9/11.

"Whole generation" is a huge exaggeration, especially in the early years: lots of guys volunteered, and lots viewed it as an obligation to the Nation. Trump was not dodging the war on moral grounds, he was taking advantage of being rich. There's a huge difference, to me at least.

 

I actually thought about that before posting. But there is a difference in burning your draft card and taking a stand to getting out of it by 'bone spurs'. I will grant that I wasn't there so don't know how common that was.

I do think that no matter what he isn't qualified to over rule the military justice system.
