Rocket Fans in NYC. I am having a horrible time in NYC and would like to meet up and watch some Rockets games with any Rockets fans in NYC. I just moved here for school and my apartment building is filled with Die Hard Knicks fans who are getting on my nerves. Please pitty this rockets fan who just moved to the cold BIG APPLE! HELP IS NEEDED!!!!!

I'm in NYC. I'm always down for watching some Rox games, but will be really busy with school the next two months.
I live in Boston. You guys are welcome to watch Rockets games in my house. Also I need to mention that I have NBALP so I rarely miss any Rockets games, especially this season.
yea i have NBA LP and i live in NY...but im not sure if youre welcome yet I watch pretty much every rockets game unless im playing basketball myself
We had a little group early in the season led by Munco, but everybody bought league pass so it didn't really make any sense to drop a bunch of money in a bar somewhere. Maybe we could organize something for a big game.
As you all know, I live in New York and am the voice of reason on this board. So my advice would be to move out.

Welcome to NYC tycoonchip! I hope the Big Apple treats you well. As far as pity, my brother, from one Rockets fan to another, I hear ya. The best you can do is hope for a ten year reunion of 93-94 Finals, that would be my dream! It is tough adjusting to NY, especially if you moved from somewhere like, say , Houston Texas. Keep your head up, and give it at least a year before you decide whether you like it or not. As for the Rockets,weve got a Yahoo group like someone said, and we have met one or two times this season for games. I'm sure when the playoffs start we will organize something. I will get you the link for the Yahoo group. And finally, what borough are you living in and where are you studying? From the likes of it, sounds like NYU. good luck with that. from one transplant to another, GO ROCKETS!
check out Cellar's on Dekalb two blocks south of Washington Ave. they have league pass, and if you order two drinks they feed you, FOR FREE! its good homecooking, too, they just straight up ask you if youre hungry, then they fill you up with chicken and mashed potatoes and greens. that's my spot when I'm in Brooklyn( I stay at DeKalb and Washington Ave. when I'm not in Manhattan ) peace and I'm out
