I wouldn't say those are the players they are interest in but those are the players they have the ability to acquire. Iggy isn't a realistic option as they have no way to make the salary match having to send out 12.75m in salary to bring in his 17m. A bunch of minimum guys don't cut it either as Memphis has to have a roster spot to accommodate each incoming player. House , Nene , Anderson , Rivers , Sefolosha , Green and Chandler cant be traded until December. Do you really want to add House , Rivers , Sefolosha to an Iggy trade ? Doesn't make sense to me. Not a whole lot they can do other than scrape the bottom of the proverbial barrel. Their best bet is to use that $3,206,160 trade exception from Marquis Chriss on a player now so they can aggregate that contract in a bigger deal later. Other than that , its trading a rotation piece for XxX.
Forgot they had two TPE's , one for Chriss and another for Knight - the second being $3,620,016 They need to use both in separate trades now so they can aggregate them at the deadline.
Josh Jackson and Bruno Caboclo make more sense. Rockets need more length, athleticism and youth. This team is old and rickety enough as is. Plus both guys could be had for so much cheaper.
Andre Iguodala Considered 'Virtual Lock' To Sign With Warriors Next Offseason The Golden State Warriors traded Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies in order to acquire D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets. Iguodala is currently in a stalemate with the Grizzlies as he waits to be traded or released. Because Iguodala cannot re-sign with the Warriors during the 19-20 season if he's released by the Grizzlies, he would have to sign with another team this season. But Marc Stein of the New York Times reports "consider (Iguodala) a virtual lock to return to the Warriors to finish his career" next offseason. Iguodala signed with the Warriors in 2013
Does not surprise me. They can just throw the MLE at him. So, whoever gets Iggy this season it is just a 1 season rental. I can't imagine any team throwing any kind of assets for him in a trade though.
he can go anywhere except for the Clippers a wing rotation of Kawhi, PG, and Iggy is about as good as it gets when trying to deal with Harden Bev will get under Westbrook’s skin and get him to start acting too reckless trying to go at him
Say what you will, but the new Clippers legitimately scare me. Their offensive power aside, just the thought of Bev, Kawhi, and PG on the defensive end and on the court at the same time.
Memphis you suck https://sportando.basketball/en/gri...ut-teams-with-interest-have-to-trade-for-him/ Grizzlies not willing to buy Iguodala out, teams with interest have to trade for him "[The Grizzlies] are not buying him out. He will not be on the free agent market," Adrian Wojnarowski said The Memphis Grizzlies are not willing to buy Andre Iguodala out and are sending a message that teams with interest will have to trade for him, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. “The message that Memphis has delivered to teams like the Lakers, Clippers and Rockets is that you’re going to have to trade for him,” Wojnarowski said. “We are not buying him out. He will not be on the free agent market.”
Props to Memphis. No need to just hand the California teams an asset. He would be so awesome here and a perfect fit for what we need, but unfortunately he is not a vet min player so Tilman won't allow Morey to trade for him.
give them westbrick. even then memphis probably wouldn't touch him with the future stud they have in Ja Morant. sighs
they don't suck, they can do what they want and by trading for him is our best chance because he isn't signing with us if he is bought out
