There's a 0% chance that Morey thought Russ was a better player than CP3 much less add 4 draft picks on top of it. It's pretty obvious that Tilman forced his hand into the trade because he would sell more tickets/jerseys on an equal salary trade. The Rockets aren't ****ed by his contract in the long haul but this is gonna be a wasted year. Russ is still easily tradeable in the offseason
Whose been leading the league in turnovers for the past several years? Who went to 2-15 from 3 pointers which caused a lot of long rebounds and killed the defense? Not WB... Put the Clippers loss on WB but this one is on Harden and team defense, which suffers when we don’t shoot the 3 well.
uh wb is right there with turnovers. wb defense is worse than hardens. wth are you even talking about
Yea... we should provably put the ball in Russ’s hand more so when sharing the floor with Harden. Right now CP3 is right about Harden’s play style...
Lol... But Harden is worse in these regards. Harden’s missed 3s absolutely kills our defense. 2-15... we had no change against the Mavs.
not really when hes by far the superior player who impacts the game in a much more positive aspect. wb has been a straight negative
Sorry but yes. WB isn’t a shooter.... How about Harden adapts to that? Right now, CP3 is right about Harden’s style....
why in the world does harden need to adapt to a worse player. that makes 0 sense. the reason why things open up for houston is bc of harden. playing around wb opens up nothing
You’re asking why a player needs to adapt to improve the overall team... If you can’t figure that out then I don’t know what to tell you... Are you just here for the Harden MVP? I’m here for the championship...
I thought about a Chris Paul for Westbrook, no-draft pick trade this offseason but realized that CP and JH have a legit beef and they haven't talked to each other since, so thats not happening
who says it improves the team? just you you have a guy who has perhaps the worst jumpshot in the league with some elite athleticism, yet hes not the one who should be standing around to get jumpshots. he's not the one who should be moving off ball lmao you don't even know what youre saying so of course you wouldn't know
James Harden led 2 straight years of offenses that ranked top 10 all time. He shouldn't adapt to a player that has made the team worse just by being on the court.
smh, Harden generates far better offense than Russ Harden gives Russ a 4-3 on every possession because he’s getting doubled near midcourt What is this “adapting” that people are talking about?
Last year his shooting % was way down, terrible shooting season. And it's gotten worse so far this season. Shooting #s close to his rookie/sophomore seasons. Career high 5.9 3pt attempts. 22% 3pt. FT% has tanked the last couple of seasons. Also his fouls are way up to 3.8 per game
I personally odn't think the Westbrook experiment has seen rock bottom yet. Soon, defenses will not only double Harden at half court, but they'll also glue onto Capela/Tucker/House and give Russ a mile of space to shoot anything he wants OR meet him at the rim where he hasn't been able to finish as well.
they're already doing that. it's a given teams are letting wb shoot. that's not changing anytime soon bev "that jumpshot broke"
Its the opposite. His contract is not an issue when you consider the cap situation AND the fact that he's tradeable anyways. His precense on the court is the issue. I would rather take a 20m hit on his contract and have him not play than to see him play.
Then don’t be surprised by the results... Basketball is a team sport... I don’t understand the notion that the best player shouldn’t adapt his game when the team has changed....
