There is nothing more dangerous in basketball than a player who thinks he is better than he is.

You guys do know we're paying the second most money to the ideal "bench player," right? That's pretty concerning.

Don’t kid yourself.... you always hated Westbrick. You all did. For good reason. Being Harden’s boy in a Rockets jersey doesn’t change anything.

I wish Houston fans actually cared enough to boo this smug, entitled grade A douche at home games.

I hated Westbrook before he was in Houston, and wanted to give him a shot now that hes on Houston and I watch him every game, my opinion of him has not changed. The only positive is that I think he does earn the rebound numbers, and that it was not just Adams letting him grab boards.

To me he is a net negative, he tends to make boneheaded plays sprinkled in with some spectacular events. I have not felt this way about a Rockets player since Jeremy Lin, the amount of volatility and unpredictability is not fun to watch. No idea why OKC liked this guy.

Those numbers are still better than the corpse of Cp3. And I know Cp3 has been putting decent stats. He has to he just got traded he probably worked his ass off in the summer to prove a point. But we all know what's gonna happen later on we tried that thing with Cp3 for like 3 years he always faded and his good performance doesn't last.

WB might not be good but at least he will be consistently aggressive and you can depend on him to still be full of energy and active in the playoffs. He also doesn't stop and whine and complain to refs every possession so mentally he just isn't as irritating to watch as Cp3.

Also, just for fun, I did a quick analysis on what RB efficiency would look like if he didn't take a single shot outside of 15 feet. None.

Obviously this isn't realistic, sometimes you're the shot clock is winding down...you're open from 3-point range off the catch so you decide to shoot.

Note I assumed that shots outside of 16 feet generate 0 free throws since no one would ever foul him when he shoots from that distance. Scoring analysis, all shots inside 15 ft. or closer (including free throws).

    16.3 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 6.9 AST 59.7 TS%

This analysis doesn't translate into an exact practical formula, but I think it could be at least a ballpark approximation of what he could do even with his poor FT shooting. And still allowing to shoot those mid-rangers between 10-16 ft which I have no problem with him taking on occasion.Who wouldn't want a guy like that on your team?

I like Westbrook but, if I’m the opposing team, then I’m letting him take a wide open 3 pointer for a potential game winner any day of the week.

If I am the other team I dare Westbrook to shoot no way I let Harden beat me.

Westbrook must attack the basket, assist and defend. That is his role in this team. And MDA is in charge of making the necessary adjustments so that Westbrook fits into the team's game, understanding his role.

Westbrick is Westbrick no matter what the front of his jersey says.
He’s good for runs during a game but as we know he’ll continue to chunk it till the opposing is back in it. Its MDA’s damn job to pull’em before that happens.
DanTony better figure this out come the playoffs.

I don’t hate him, but he is in fast decline, and I HATE that we are wasting Hardens best years to win a ring by saddling him with an inefficient player like Westbrook.

I guess this thread had to be made, right?

Melo I can see having this reaction to early in the season, but not WB. It takes some time to integrate him into a new team after leading his own team for so long. Just give it a little more time before sending out the lynch mob.

I think he earns one or two millions more than Harden without commercial money.

Have you ever considered the fact that not many other stars want to play with james? Jimmy Butler would have been great.

We are stuck trying to get the best that we can get, as flawed as they may be.

It's hard to fill a roster around harden with his Supermax. We have to get lucky
