Yeh, his minutes usually seem really empty.

 

With House and Gordon we probably win by 10.

At least our defense wasn't bad.

 

get sefalosha and his 1.9 ppg on 27% shooting off the team. Rather clark play those minutes

 

James also needs to make better passes out of the double team man...idk. Im sorry for the negativity but man we ALWAYS beat Denver, they are NOT that good. I refuse to believe our players are this incompetent with a double team.

 

He wasn’t perfect but he was getting other guys wide open looks and they were missing badly. Gonna put it more on the scrubs this game

We've had an extremely easy schedule so far (top 3 easiest schedule according to ESPN) and haven't been able to capitalized the 1st seed with it.

The only real healthy contending teams we've played was against the Bucks, Heat and tonight vs the Nuggets. We've lost all 3 of those games.

Blazers are a bottom 5 team this year and the Clippers and Pacers were not even close to full strength when we played them. Everyone else were lottery teams.

 

I don’t think this version of Denver is necessarily a favorable match up for this version of the Rockets.

Adding Westbrook and subtracting Paul changes a lot of things, especially in a spacing of the floor context.

We will play each other again obviously but I didn’t expect to win this game. In transition Denver has the athletes to run if forced to defensively and Jokic can camp in the paint.

 

Yup he was far more decisive the stretch of games we won, but this Denver D is very solid, and James is probably beta man, dudes been balling like crazy until tonight. He def held the ball too long but maybe because no one was making the open shots they had and or because they were super indecisive when he did pass to them ... gonna cut hiim some slack tonight ... Fridays game could be ugly if they do the same s**t they did tonight. Esp with PG and KL playing now.

 

Are you seriously going to put the blame on Harden for this? He shot well, got 27 points, had 7 assists and 7 rebounds.... with 3 steals. Yeah, he gave a lot of turnovers, but that was the least of our worries. If the other guys stepped up today, we would have won. Besides, the Nuggets were double teaming Harden for quite a bit of that game.

 

That's not negativity, for me at least, James has always been super slow in playing out of double teams, i don't know if or how much that affects the next shot/play, but i see that as you do.

yeah the dynamic has changed on what they can do defensively. it certainly worked a ton in their favor tonight and it showed. rockets others were hesitant and bricking all night long

 

High altitude road loss....yawn. Rockets don't match up well against the Nuggets, got out played, didn't defend well, bench didn't help much, on to the next game.

 

Is Luc Mbah healthy enough to play now?

Yeah, he’s garbage. McLemore is another guy who shouldn’t be playing regular minutes on a playoff team. Don’t see how Morey can address this, though he was able to come up with House last year seemingly out of no where.
