Hoodie Marsh Melo strikes again . Buwaaaa but all his friends still say he is better than half the NBA. And then he woke up in a Blazers uni 00 -20
I question Portland They want him to start? Lmao Dame, CJ, and Melo in the starting lineup means RIP to your defense
Even though it’s his first game back it says he played 20 minutes tonight does that sound right for him.
So he's going to start from now on?? Whahahaha, at least we don't we have to worry at all about the Blazers anymore.
'The Physicality Of The Game Has Changed' Carmelo Anthony said he felt like he belonged following his season debut during the Portland Trail Blazers' 115-104 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Anthony, who started the game, finished with 10 points on 4-14 shooting from the field. Anthony acknowledged how he has to adjust his game to fit with the physicality of the league. "The physicality of the game has changed. The way that they call the game, the way that the game is played has changed, so you almost have to adjust again," said Anthony. Terry Stotts was encouraged by Anthony's debut. "To be honest, I thought he looked good. I thought offensively he got looks, he got good looks at the basket. I thought he got fouled at least two or three times taking it strong to the basket. He then came away empty, so that kind of affected his (stat) line," said Stotts. Stotts added that Anthony may continue to start for the team.
I really want to see Melo succeed. Unfortunately he didn’t make the cut with Houston. His advanced stats must’ve been off the charts.
our defense has been 2nd best in the NBA the last 7 games, was very good after the ASB last year, and was excellent in 17-18 tho Portland by starting Melo is stating that they have given up hope of making any sort of noise this season
To be fair, the team let him go when there was multiple problems with the team, Chris Paul being inconsistent and his suspension, overall Defense. It felt like searching for a scape goat, in reality the team just needed to cut weight with certain players, and he was a minimum contract. Still surprised he didn't at least last 60 games.
Now that Carmelo has played 1 game with the Blazers, ESPN and the rest of the media can use those highlights from now on in discussion Melo. And we don't have to see Melo/Rocket file footage anymore and not continually be reminded of that poor start. Blessed.
Just look at his free-throw rates... They have PLUMMETED. With the rockets he was going to the line once per 36 minutes. He reminds me of an old QB (Like Peyton at the end, or Brady now) that is simply not willing to stay in the pocket and take a hit to make a play anymore. He looks like one of the old guys in rec league that has beautiful grace and skill, but the physicality of which he was known for is all but gone.
Really - I mean, he's at best a 10-15 min guy coming off the bench, but I guess Portland has to make an attempt to integrate him into their starting squad if for nothing else, optics.
